Author has written 13 stories for Romance, Friendship, General, Young Adult, and Thriller. I'm way too old to be on this site and married. The Stories: Almost Married:This is a story that I started a long time ago (like the end of high school). It's been haunting me for many years, sticking around in the back of my mind. It's about Bridget Wallace (yes, I did name my account after her). At 18, Bridget is engaged to her high school sweetheart, John, and planning a summer wedding. Then the unimaginable happens and she finds herself pregnant. John isn't interested in kids, so he abandons her. Now she is all alone with a baby on the way. She's heartbroken and miserable. She's forced to run home and ask her parents for help. The story is about moving away from the past and taking a second shot at love while trying to raise her little girl without a father. Third Man In: My story for NaNoWriMo 2008. I didn't exactly finish it in November, but it will be finished soon. This story started as an exploration of what it's like when you first get married. It was going to be about a girl that meets the perfect man a few weeks after she marries her best friend. It still sort of is, but there's a lot more hockey in it than I would have thought. For those of you that don't know the title refers to the third man in a fight at a hockey game. He is kicked out of the game. It is the story of Ellie and her new husband, Brandon. When he is able to go back to a hockey career that was nearly ruined by an injury, he leaves her alone in their home with a job she can't stand. This is where the trouble starts as Clayton Ford, an ex-hockey player shows up in Ellie's life. She is only supposed to be working on the publicity for his new book, but he ends up filling a hole that Brandon left in her life. Will she work things out with Brandon or settle down with the third man in? Middletown: My story for NaNoWriMo 2006. My friend convinced me to do it, so I gave it a shot. It's about Lara, who moves from New York to Texas to escape her crazy life. When she gets there, she meets Sammy. I didn't plot it out before I wrote, but I think it turned out okay. It is complete at a grand total of 50,080 words. In the Spotlight and In the Shadows: If you haven't read these stories, please do. Follow the stories of famous actress, Hannah Hale, and her little sister, Eve, as the make their way through the insanity of Hollywood to find love and happiness in life. The new version of In the Spotlight is now posted. If you read it before and really liked it, I would appreciate hearing your opinion of the changes, because about half of it was completely rewritten. I have not yet started the rewrite of Shadows. I know that I will, but I'm not sure when. There's not as much to change in it, though, so it won't be nearly as different as Spotlight. This means that if you finish reading the first one and want to go on to the second, you shouldn't be confused. Plainville: This is a story I started in high school. A lot of the characters are based on my friends and family. It's the tale of a girl who is about to settle into a nine year relationship before her first boyfriend returns to Plainville and tries to steal her heart. I sincerely apologize to anyone waiting for an update on Confessions. I'm not sure that I'm ever going to work on it again, the story has pretty well left my head. Sorry. The rest of the stories were probably written for class or when I was in high school, which is actually quite a long time ago. Any of my stories rated above K got the rating for a moderate amount of coarse language and some mild adult content. If you are offended by these things, you might what to stick to the ones with a more friendly rating. I almost never write about violence. |
