Author has written 17 stories for Love, Friendship, Song, General, Life, Religion, and Family. Okay... here we go, Folks! My nickname (online) is "ZenKat", and I like to write. Well- alright, I'd like to "think" I can write... my technique usually follows the path of slapping words on paper and hoping they fall in the right places. My best friend and truest editor (though I'm too stubborn to heed the advice that I get ;-) ) is Seraphim of the Dark Moon... VERY excellent writer!! I happen to enjoy fairly annoying music (Paul Simon, Men At Work that should tell you how old I am!-lol, Cranberries, and pretty much anything from the mid 60's to the present- which include various uplifting selections from KoRn, Disturbed, Kitaro, and Massive Attack). Right now I am entralled by the Twilight Soundtrack and the Alchemy Volumes 3 & 4 by Thrice! Though singing should be left to the professionals, I like to add my off tune voice once in a while- while Seraphim cringes in the background :-D. I can scribble- Seraphim can 'draw'. However, cartooning- in its MOST primative form, is a slight hobby of mine. Dislikes: Blatant stupidity, cruelty to any living creature, rude reviews, rude people (you can be blunt AND tactful at the same time),art in bad taste, vapid personalities, snide remarks, and cruel humor. I've been to a few places, though I admit... the U.S. still holds my biggest interest- until I can make enough money to go elsewhere... possibly the rest of Europe for a little while ;-). I was a Navy brat for a while, an Army wife for a time... so, my thoughts and prayers go out to those who have fallen, who are still deployed, and my sincerest thanks to all who have served (and are active now). The things that I write are a bit strange, they may have that 'spaced out love' sound to them or the familiar 'thin layer of brooding', but... those are my simple elements of where everything else stems from I think. I'm a sucker for romance/comedy movies. I like the suspense in certain horror and thriller movies. I like a measured amount of tragedy, jubulation, passion, and conquest (by the underdog). The slight realism that is placed in fantasy movies makes the story a little easier to tolerate, though I am all for magic-dragons-demons- and the like once in a while ;-). And in the middle of all of that- I enjoy the bundles of Sci-fi Fantasy (dragons in space, mages on other planets, etc.) that come across my way every now and then. It takes quite a bit for me to 'dislike' a story... "sometimes". As far as current interesting reads: Twilight Series (we can thank my daughter for that one), Harry Potter (my son's fault ;-) ), and The Path of Alchemy (GREAT book!). And with THAT said- though I am not very timely with my return reviews... I still come in here (once in a while) and read the works of other authors. Well, when you get the chance- read what you can, review (nicely please?), and many blessings upon you! Zenkat P.S.
