Author has written 191 stories for Love, Nature, Life, General, Family, General, Humor, Song, Haiku, Fantasy, Friendship, and Work. Intro: Male, 22, Hampshire, England. Life long golf and rugby league fan, Go Bradford Bulls!! I also enjoy ten pin bowling. I am currently working as a research scientist. I have played rugby from a young age and golf from my early teens. Writing is my non-sport hobby, my style is mainly love poems with the odd ones that are different. They are mainly up-beat but some are about other less happy subjects. I'm past my teens so I hope I have a mature but youthfull consistancy to my work. I have been writing poetry for about 6 years before I joined this site but only a few poems a year. I post because I want to improve my skills. I hope my works are read and enjoyed by the people who come across them as only I and only my closest friends have enjoyed them over the last few years. Please review my work as I really enjoy the thought of people reading belief is that the best love and other genres of poems come from raw emotion and desires. I aim with the more serious poems I write to make people think and wonder as well as understand who I am inside even if they never meet me. I really hope I have achived this in my work. I guess after reading my poems they then know more about me than people I have met. I also enjoy reading other people work, I have become as serial reviewer too, over 1300 written infact! I have seen some amazing works on some fantastic subjects here by writers with incredible talent . Keep writing all of you! I have tried to write in other forms but a vast majority of my works are poems. I am very experiemtnal, I play with rhyme, line orientation, flow, pace, volume and many other things to reach my desired effect. I do put a lot of effort into my works but sometimes the way I put it just doesn't work out. One of my most recent works to involve ideas are "Chokes Time" and one of my oldest was "Even If I'm Blind". In that work I used the rhyming of the last two line sets to bring out their importance. Just to say thanks to some of my special regular reviewers: infinate smiles, finding sanity, till-iburnout, lisaslife. Special thanks go to: -Crytearsofdarkness - For reviewing almost all of my works including every chapter of Ailee's Village. I always enjoy reading her opinions and advice. Some may be hidden by the ruthless obscurer which is time but I have been told that if you are to read any of my poems you should read: -Even if I'm Blind ( Seems to be a little out dated compared to my more recent works as I wrote it so long ago. It is still said to be one of my best) News I recently wrote a poem called "Choosing" The wonderful news is I have now got the dream and finished my inbetween job! Notes: If you want me to point you in the right direction of poems of mine that would interest you tell me what you like and I will email a list back, or if you just want me to recommend my favorites. Please add "Poetry" to the subject bar. I often write response or anti poems to works, these are best read after the original to get the full picture and meaning. Just a recomendation to help people understand my works. I used to put my footnotes in asterix but now because of the new system it is just as easy to add the as italics at the bottom of the page under a dividing line. I dedicate my love poems to my beautiful, intelligent girlfriend. I wish our love to be forever. Thanx for listening... Nine Iron |
