To put it bluntly, I have relatively mild interest in writing. I write because I am occasionally bored, because I have an overactive imagination, and because I am bloody picky about what I read. I am tired of crap. Fine, I enjoy the tug-on-heartstring moment as much as the next girl but I will puke on your shoes if you hand me shitty grammar with fake scenes that caters to every teenage fantasy out there. It's like porn for babies. (Here, I'd like to cast an accusing glare to the Twilight series.)

My typical storylines include several elements:

1. believable, but highly unlikely. It's like finding the perfect man; heck, we can't even find the perfect dog... but the concept is out there.

2. the girls don't take bullshit. Not from the man, not from anyone else. They are strong both physically and mentally; if you want a cute traumatized little girl with large, pleading eyes to soften the heart of a cold, dangerous hunk well -- not here, not in a million years.

3. setting is rarely present day, and never high school. I find those boring as hell, and so utterly fake. I'm happy to say that that phase of my life is blessingly over. Goodbye to petty rivalries, jealousy, and overall bitchiness. R.I.P.

4. well-written. At least, that's my aim. -shifty eyes-

In this life we get only those things for which we hunt, for which we strive, and for which we are willing to sacrifice.
