I am from Baltimore, but now live in lovely little Ithaca.

My favorite colors are purple, yellow and black.

I am a vegetarian.

I love Fransesca Lia Block, Stone Butch Blues, Stephenie Meyer, the Harry Potter Books, Cherry and The Liar's Club by Mary Karr, Amelia Atwater Rhodes, The Farsala Trilogy, Shakespeare, Sylvia Plath and Lydia Minatoya, among others.

I am an art major, psychology and sociology minors.

I love to paint! Oil, mostly.

Some obsessions include musicals (my ex-boyfriend took me to see RENT on broadway!!), mythology, pineapple, portabello mushrooms, green tea, pansies, organic everything, Ireland (I'm mostly Irish), scrabble and walking.

I hate math with a fiery passion.

I read 100 books in one year for my 2006 resolution.

My favorite artists are Degas, Wolf Kahn, John William Waterhouse, Mary Cassatt, Sally Mann, Diane Arbus and Monet.

What I've been reading: I recently finished The Time Traveler's Wife and Wicked Lovely. Now I'm on The Looking Glass Wars. So far, so good.

I am currently listening to: Should've Said No by Taylor Swift, The Call by Regina Spektor, 3 AM by Matchbox Twenty, Beethoven's 5th Symphony performed by Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Metallica, Full Moon by The Black Ghosts, and All the World Tonight by Graham Colton Band.

I am not often around. I don't write much anymore, although I sort of lust after the inspiration I used to have. It just isn't often there. My computer crashed and everything I had ever written was lost, which sort of dented my will to create. . . Plus, I'm not as damaged as I used to be. I feel much more like a person now.

I have also dealt with and witnessed a good share of dark, painful things- rape and eating disorders included. These things influence my work, too.
