Author has written 7 stories for General, Young Adult, Sci-Fi, Romance, and Fantasy.

I'm a recently graduated college student who's still trying to figuring out what to do with the rest of her life. I majored in English Literature and am currently an undertaker by day and a wanna-be author by night, slowly yet determinedly working towards my dream of seeing my name up in bookstores one day.

I've had this profile for some eleven-odd years, but am just now using it to my advantage to get some of my stuff circulating, just to test the waters to see what people think. Keep in mind, most of the stories posted here are just first drafts; some of them I've started without even really knowing where they were going or who the characters are or what the plot and conflict will evolve into. Most of what I post here will most likely fizzle out and not get past the first few chapters, abandoned for projects with more potential or to get fragmented and re-absorbed into other works. With that being said, I can already say that most of the stuff I post here will not be finished here. I mostly want to know if people like my writing style, my ability to tell a tale, if they find my concepts interesting, etc., etc.

My current major influences (in no particular order):

Books/Authors: William Shakespeare, Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury, Cherie Priest, Scott Westerfeld, Stephen Hunt, C.S. Friedman, Mercedes Lackey, Harry Potter, Phantom, Phantom of the Opera, A Song of Ice and Fire, The Iron Fey series, Nevermore, The Great Gatsby

Movies/TV Shows: Doctor Who, Labyrinth, The Avengers (and comic book movies in general),The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings, Star Wars (the original trilogy), Disney, all of the movies by Hayao Miyazaki and Pixar, Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, Fright Night (2011), Cabin in the Woods, Pacific Rim, Sunshine, Event Horizon, Alien, Wizards, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Akira

Music: Florence and the Machine, Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil, Shiny Toy Guns, Zeromancer, John Murphy, Hans Zimmer, John Powell, James Horner, Danny Elfman, Enigma, Nobuo Uematsu, Akira Yamaoka, Midnight Syndicate, Nox Arcania

Video Games: Final Fantasy, Shadow Colossus, The Silent Hill series

Themes and imagery: Steampunk, history, plague doctors, beach boardwalks and sideshows, Halloween, Victorian gothic, local legends and cryptozoology, ghosts and haunted houses, masks, dragons, monsters, and other big beasties

OTPs: Rose/Doctor, Natasha(Black Widow)/Clint (Hawkeye), Tony Stark/Pepper Potts

"“In the real world things are very different. You just need to look around you. Nobody wants to die that way. People die of disease and accident. Death just comes suddenly and there’s no notion of good or bad. It leaves not a dramatic feeling but great emptiness. When you lose someone you love very much you feel this big empty space. And you think, “If I had known this was coming, I would have done things differently…” Yoshinori Kitase, director of Final Fantasy VII on Aerith's death.
