I'm 18 years old, and enjoy writing poetry and the odd story now and again, but I think my talent lays in my poetry more than anything else. I’ve decided to finally get them all up on , I have them on a community msn group, but decided it would be a good idea to upload them all here, I hope you enjoy my work.

I started about a year ago, thanks to a chat group, I was curious, and never having written a poem before, I gave it a go, My first one is on here too, named "My Last Cigarette" It wasn't bad for my first poem, and the encouragement I received led me to write new ones, more emotional ones, and better ones.

I like writing poetry for two reasons, firstly it lets me express myself in a new way that opened up to me, I liked that, I could write whoever I felt, and if it was about me, or if it was just made-up, it didn't matter, it felt completely anonymous.

Secondly, I like the idea that I can help people feel what I am trying to express in my poetry, if I can do that, even in the slightest, I feel a great accomplishment.

I also write the odd very strange and meaningless poem, it helps me unwind, while providing some very strange poetry, like Lunar Tuna..

What's new:

I’m starting a continuation story on fictionpress! It's called The Time Puzzle. I think I came up with a pretty good storyline and I'm looking forward to writing more of it, I have a plot in mind, but things change as a story progresses... it's the first one I've ever done on here, so all I want really is a little bit of constructive criticism, some encouragement, and some readers, I hope I'll get at least 2 out of 3. At the moment i'm still on the introduction, it seems to be going well so far I think :)
