August 2nd, 2006: Wow, it's been a looo-ong time since I've looked at this thing, let alone posted any new writings. I'm almost 20-years-old now, so my perspective and tastes have changed quite a bit. I can see how some of my poems could be interperted as teenaged angst now, though I don't believe that's what those feelings were. Many of those sad, depressing thoughts often enter my head, but I don't dwell on them now the way I had before.
Life is tough. So I vented about it through my poetry. But it's like I said, I don't see things the way I used to.
From this point on, you'll find any new additions to my collections of writings may still be morbid, but you'll also see a beauty in it. Life is beautiful. Pain and suffering is beautiful. Happiness is beautiful. Just being able to breathe is beautiful.
I've been through a lot recently, and I feel that those experiences have helped me. Funny, how something as simple as over-coming tragedy can be the most important life lesson one could ever have.
