Author has written 44 stories for Love, Life, Friendship, Fantasy, General, Nature, Supernatural, Religion, Mythology, Young Adult, Fable, and Fantasy.

Greetings Dear Reader.

I am 31 years old and I have one published work in "Young Americans Anthology" when I was a student at Liberty High School in Madera, California. It is of course published under my legal name. I graduated in 2006 and went on to community college before transferring to Fresno State where I am seeking to acquire a BA in English. To my surprise I have deeply enjoyed Medieval Literature, Chaucer, and a light peppering of Shakespearian works as it was taught by Professor Weston, among others. You haven't read Chaucer until you've tried to read his works in Middle-English. That was an interesting and nerve wracking experience, for certain. The bellow text is an expert from "The Canterbury Tales, General Prologue."

Whan that Aprill with his shoures soote
The droghte of March hath perced to the roote,
And bathed every veyne in swich licour
Of which vertu engendred is the flour;
Whan Zephirus eek with his sweete breeth
Inspired hath in every holt and heeth
The tendre croppes, and the yonge sonne
Hath in the Ram his half cours yronne,
And smale foweles maken melodye,
10 That slepen al the nyght with open ye
(So priketh hem Nature in hir corages),
Thanne longen folk to goon on pilgrimages,
And palmeres for to seken straunge strondes,
To ferne halwes, kowthe in sondry londes;
And specially from every shires ende
Of Engelond to Caunterbury they wende,
The hooly blisful martir for to seke,
That hem hath holpen whan that they were seeke.

-Chaucer

I will say this much, learning to translate, read, and analyze Chaucer was an experience. I have been writing stories since I discovered my love for reading. Like an ouroboros circle, each became linked to the other. Remove one and the whole ceases to exist. From my love of reading I learned that I enjoyed creating tales of my own. Forever the wishful writer, I took a chance on 'fictionpress' in the hopes of continuing to learn and explore how to become this mystical being called a Writer.

Sincerely,

R.C. Wulfe
