Daddy by Matthew James Current reviews
Got pretty emotional writing this, it turned into something of a prayer. But even if you are not religious I urge you to read this and tell me what you think. It really is worth looking at I think.

Drowning in Sin by Matthew James Current reviews
A very morbid piece inspired by self-loathing. Rather original idea though, even though the notion of self-destruction seems to have become cliche. As usual, expect something a little different.

I'm proud of this one. I think I might have actually done a concept justice. Inspired by the song "Infected" by Demon Hunter. Don't ask. This goes out to everyone on fictionpress, all my fans. God bless you all.

Building Burning Bridges by Matthew James Current reviews
This goes out to Aisha. I tried to make it like a song, but I'm not really sure what I did with it. Just let it flow out, then restructured it for deeper meaning. Hopefully it worked. Let me know what you think. Enjoy.

Just some musings I've had that I pooled together into a poem it's more prose really, but I hope you enjoy it. It's intended to make you think, so let me know if it works.

Toll by Matthew James Current reviews
Love can take its toll. Been a while since I posted. I have an interesting mix of ideas here. I especially like the end. It doesn't suck. Two allusions to songs. Goes out to Kel. Enjoy and write on my friends and fellow poets.

One Day by Matthew James Current reviews
I wrote this for all those I care about who have yet to accept the Lord Jesus as their personal savior. More than that, I write it for everyone who has yet to accept him. I wish everyone could be saved. But alas, free will.

This goes out to Hawke and Sabb. Tried to blend frustration with trying to help people who hurt themselves with a realistic, poetic vision of how they keep on hurting themselves. Open to interpretation. Tell me what you think.

Eulogy to the Blind by Matthew James Current reviews
Not one of my best pieces. Truly more of an evaluation of the thought processes leading to suicide. No doubt I will at some point come back and make this actually Poetic. For now, I think it holds up all right.

The River by Matthew James Current reviews
Saw the ending to "A River Runs Through It" today in my english class. Such a powerful ending to an excellent movie. It moved me so much that I wanted to write a poem about the ending lines to it. I mixed in some philisophy. Enjoy and review if you wish.

The Travesty of Inaction by Matthew James Current reviews
This world is a travesty of what it could be. This peom was inspired by "Pure Sin" by the Prince of Mirkwood. That and "Lost in the Corner" by Echo Despise. I dedicate this to all those people who are lost, who no one stands up for, who suffer needlessly.

Nightmare (Sleeping Beauty) by E. Gao reviews
It's a weird title, but I think it fits in a twisted way. "Sleeping beauty" isn't supposed to refer to the fairy-tale princess, but it's a metaphor for something...or someone...ah screw it, just read (and review)! ^_^
