Well, there isn't really that much to me. I'm 21 years old, and currently working on getting my Bachelors in Biology, after which I'll be doing a Masters in Human Physiology.
I love to read, especially classic novels by the Brontё sisters, and some others such as Anne of Green Gables (which is my all time favorite). There are many more books that I adore, but I'm afraid they are too numerous for me to mention. I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter series (and just like everyone else, am desperately awaiting the release of the final installment, The Deathly Hallows). Below are a few of my favorite moments from the Harry Potter series:
' Lee Jordan was finding it difficult not to take sides.
"So - after that obvious and disgusting bit of cheating - "
"Jordan!" growled Professor McGonagall. "I mean, after that open and revolting foul - "
"Jordan, I'm warning you - "
"All right, all right. Flint nearly kills the Gryffindor Seeker, which could happen to anyone, I'm sure, so, a penalty to Gryffindor..." ' ~ Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
' "Your aunt and uncle will be proud, though, won't they?" said Hermione as they got off the train and joined the crowd thronging toward the enchanted barrier. "When they hear what you did this year?"
"Proud?" said Harry. "Are you crazy? All those times I could've died, and I didn't manage it? They'll be furious..." ' ~ Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
' "It's a letter from my godfather," said Harry cheerfully.
"Godfather?" sputtered Uncle Vernon. "You haven't got a godfather!"
"Yes, I have," said Harry brightly. "He was my mum and dad's best friend. He's a convicted murderer, but he's broken out of wizard prison and he's on the run. He likes to keep in touch with me, though...keep up with my news...check if I'm happy..."
And, grinning broadly at the look of horror on Uncle Vernon's face, Harry set off toward the station exit, Hegwid rattling along in front of him, for what looked like a much better summer than the last. ' ~ Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
' "I shudder to think what the state of my in-tray would be if I was away from work for five days," said Percy sanctimoniously.
"Yeah, someone might slip dragon dung in it again, eh, Perce?" said Fred.
"That was a sample of fertilizer from Norway!" said Percy going very red in the face. "It was nothing personal!"
"It was," Fred whispered to Harry as they got up from the table. "We sent it."
"What are you two up to?" said Mrs. Weasley sharply, her eyes on the twins.
"Homework," said Fred vaguely.
"Don't be ridiculous, you're still on holiday," said Mrs. Weasley.
"Yeah, we've left it a bit late," said George.
"You're not by any chance writing a new order form, are you?" said Mrs. Weasley shrewdly. "You wouldn't be thinking of restarting Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, by any chance?"
"Now, mum," said Fred, looking up at her, a pained look on his face. "If the Hogwarts Express crashed tomorrow, and George and I died, how would you feel to know that the last thing we ever heard from you was an unfounded accusation?"
"But I think Durmstrang must be somewhere in the far north," said Hermione thoughtfully. "Somewhere very cold, because they've got fur caps as part of their uniform."
"Ah, think of the possibilities," said Ron dreamily. "It would have been so easy to push Malfoy off a glacier and make it look like an accident... shame his mother likes him..." '
~ Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
' "Who's Kreacher?" asked Harry.
"The house-elf who lives here," said Ron. "Nutter. Never met one like him."
Hermione frowned at Ron.
"He's not a nutter, Ron - "
"His life's ambition is to have his head cut off and stuck up on a plaque just like his mother," said Ron irritably. "Is that normal, Hermione?" '
~ Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Anyways, below, I have a few things that I wrote a while back. You may leave a comment if you wish :)
