Author has written 33 stories for Religion, Nature, Life, Love, Politics, War, General, Song, Essay, Fantasy, and Humor.

I'm Alexander.

I had a list of my favorite bands up here, but I have realized that it would actually say much more about me as a writer and lyricist to list my favorite songs instead.

So here are five:

"Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence" the most awesome hymn ever,
"Closer" by Nine Inch Nails,
"Dead Souls" by Joy Division,
"The Star of the County Down" traditional Irish,
"Holiday in Cambodia" by the Dead Kennedys.

a man of small ambition by Bathory Usher reviews
This is what happens when you introduce me to slam poetry. It's not a slam piece, but some bizarre hybrid between slam and my own style of page poetry.

A ballad of which I am quite fond, to be a song for Enzell. The rhythm has an interesting flow because the trochaic and dactylic feet are used interchangeably.

On the Clear Skies Act. When I started, I didn't intend for it to be a limerick, but it turned out that way. If any of you have read 1984, you're probably familiar with the concept of "doublespeak"

Graduation Apathy reviews
For school, we were required to write sonnets about graduation. I really didn't care about graduation enough to write a serious poem, so I wrote one about how I didn't care. The reasons for not caring are exaggerated.

An Episcopalian View reviews
In this, God is portrayed as an owl and as a squirrel, and heaven as a giant tree. It's no more arbitrary than clouds and a Zeus-like figure. Enjoy, if you can.

Elegy for a Dieing Earth reviews
This piece was written in a spontaneous burst of inspiration, in the style of a song. Despite the title, the Earth is not dieing, for nothing by the deeds of man can destroy God's pure creation, so ultimately this threnody laments the defilation of Earth.

The Death Knell reviews
This is a poetization of the Prophecies of the Apocalypse. They're not literally accurate, it's in the points. Don't point out minor inconsistencies with Revelations. That's not what this is about. Just enjoy it.
