Author has written 16 stories for Mythology, Humor, Historical, Fantasy, Nature, Fantasy, Essay, Manga, and Sci-Fi.
5/11/06: This site has become a depository for my old writings. I don't think I'll be updating here anymore.
It was good while it lasted. But I've moved on, and I've grown up. Thanks.
7/5/05: Dear everyone:
I will be on vacation til the end of August. Until said til, I will not be posting or popping around on this site. That is all.
You may have noticed that I have not posted anything on this site for quite a while. Those who have noticed this are intelligent people and shall be rewarded with cookies later (those who haven't: shame on you.)This is not to say that I haven't written. I've been focusing on rewriting the first thirty-nine pages of my novel from scrach - no small task, I assure you. In the way of small stuff, Ihave written a couple of fairy tales (stfu, yo, they're Original), which you are free to view on my Livejournal, provided you leave a comment.
Note, as well, that my livejournal is a source of fun, and does not necessarily reflect how I act. I do speak, on it, in netspeak every now and then, because I find it an amusing way to speak. If you need translation of something, again, leave a comment.
So. Novel, vacation, Pico away, writing more when back, and so on. I think that covers it.
1. Stories (Explanations, etc.)
Lokasenna: This is me all-time favorite of the stories I've posted on this site. I had fun writing it, and once, in the middle, part of it just disappeared off my computer and I had to rewrite it from memory. Anyway, it is finished now, but if you're looking for a good yarn (and the norns are always looking for a good yarn), then read it. Even if you're not a Loki-type: the guy's cool, and it works.
The Second Loki: Old, but just fun. I stopped at a point, and will, when I reach/post that point, continue, hopefully in the same vein. The figth scene I shall hope to post some time this week! Plus I tweaked some its, so worry not, there shall be much action and stuff. Updates unspecified days.
The Loss of Orlandi: Inspired by Robert Browning's poem, "My Last Duchess." Note the word "inspired:" a lot of it is kept to the story I imagined behind Last Duchess, but it continues, and goes off on several thousand tangents. My first real political intrigue story (I'm so proud ). Also, indeterminate time period: Not exactly the Rennaissance, but certainly no later than eighteen-so. Updates less frequently now, because I'm still interested, but I've got stuffs to do.
Geoffrey Faulkner: Either on hold or finished, at the moment. I meant to do more, but I can't put the more into words. I guess it may just have been a one-day thing: think of it, write it, and forget about it. But it was fun to write.
Civil War Letters: I should put that last letter up, shouldn't I?
Why Do I Hate French?: I wonder if it was even noticed? Just a little autobiographical incident that explains my sentiments towards my french teacher. Names have been changed, and, no, I have no idea where the name "Infi" came from.
Three Curses: A manga my friends and I worked up when I was but a lowly junior. hehehe... Anyway, here it is, script-ised.
Nittany Fall: I have no idea what possessed me to write this. I was working on my novel, twhen all of a sudden I got writer's block. Then I tried to edit and got editor's block. Then (it was late) I went to brush my teeth, and I got bored, and started writing off the top of my head. ... ... ... This is not my first attempt at a Sci-Fi story, but it is the first one I've posted (I'm still working on typing out Shinji's Own). It was almost completely unplanned.I am not a very military-oriented person, so I apologize if those who are find mistakes/flaws. I'm also not so much a sci-fi person. I know some basics, I make up some basics, but if you're looking for technology, forget it. Really. My worlds focus more on the human aspect than on the technological or alien aspects, but this is still a fun tale. With that rant, enjoy Nittany Fall.
Stuff to look for: !!! Yeah, I'm writing stuff all across the board: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Mythology, Essay, Poetry, Young Adult, History, alla that. SO wherever you are, whomever you are, I can cater to you.(I did not mean that wrongly.) Good times? Good times.
Loptursson: a possible sequel to Lokasenna, or maybe a stand-alone, Whatever. I"ll figure it out.
Shinji's Own: Sci-Fi. A one-day thing. I'll edit it up a bit, then post it. Maybe I'll even continue the story. Oh, I have Ideas there. Many, many ideas.
Kleis Wanderer/ Owen and the Crown: Should I call this after the heroine? Or should I go for irony and call it after the prick? E mail me with suggestions, KW or OatC as the subject-line. This is my novella, BTW.
Indeed: Just a randomness poem. I was writing a review to someone, and it just came out.
The Crazy Old Man: Ah, the immortal Crazy Old Man On The Street Corner. We will never forget you. My favorite of my humor poems, simply because of the weirdness value.
Ballad of the Caitiff's Reprieve: Just entered this in the Reflections Contest for school. Theme: "A different kind of hero..." Well, Hel, if a demon's not a different kind of hero, I'll eat my moniter. Don't you love those Reflections themes? So...deep...and meaningful... (coughcoughchokehackdie.) Anyway, we'll see what comes of it. Update, 3/1/05: Yeah, I entered it. And d'you know what I got? A CERTIFICATE OF FRICKIN" ACKNOWLWEDGEMENT! Here, Pico, you EXIST! PAT ON THE FRICKIN" HEAD! Look, either tell me who won, or don't! DOn't give me a frickin' paper just to "make me feeel better about losing." If I lost, I lost. No biggie.Dumb--ts.
A Study In Educational Jargon: Man, I'm hating on that jargon shit they try to force down the throats of students and teachers alike. Of course, I can speak and conjure it perfectly, thanks to the wondrous workings of Domenech (for those of you who have no idea, Daniel Domenech was the old Superintendant in our county. He retired recently, to a principal's job in some middle school because it made more money. Need I say ANY more?). Anyway, here's my response.
STATS: (hey look! That's a palindrome!)
Name: You think I'd reveal that? What're you smoking?
Favorite books: There are still way too many for me to list wihtout scaring people away. Here are but a few. Format: Book, author. -Favorite Character
Hyperion, Dan Simmons. -The Consul
Naruto -Gaara, Kakashi
Update: Get Backers is seriously one of the BEST animes I have EVER seen! Ah it's awesome! Go see Get Backers! Love that show. Love it, love it.
The Pooter thing?
By the way, people, I just started a livejournal, joy oh joy. So can poeple tell me what's going on there? I'm kinda leery about joining communities, etc, cuz I dunno if it'll work on my evil pooter. Anyway, leave me comments there if you care! YAY!
11/18/04: Total logged words? 44,640. Average words per entry? 4,464. Man, how cool is that!
