Metai ae everyone! Hi! Lauren or if you prefer the Hawaiian way, Lauena here. Metai ae is ‘hi’ in Nyatec. Nyatec is a language I made up for some of my original characters to speak. My friends and I also speak it as well.

Profile Update 06/28/2012

I know this profile hasn’t been updated in a really long time, so I decided to update it!

For reasons that are my own, I’ve decided to take down most if not all of my dream stories. I still have them and I’m still working on them, but I want to post them somewhere else. Once I figure out where and have the link and everything set up, I’ll definitely post it here for everyone to read! I know a lot of people liked them and I promise you’ll be able to read them again. I’m still doing the story prompts. This means you’ll see the girls show up in some of them. But they won’t be dream stories as much as just regular ones. But the girls will still be the same. please be patient.

My Words of Inspiration:

“See for today and see for the moment. See every day as though your eye sight will be taken away from you tomorrow. Your heart is the eye of your soul. When you look at something, truly see it, and don’t just look at it to say that you’ve seen it. Truly look at it, not just with your eyes, but with your heart as well. Your heart is the advertisement to your soul. And most importantly, remember that what you see with your eyes may not be what’s truly there. Only after you’ve seen with your heart, can you truly say you’ve seen a person for who they really are inside. And the same thing goes for the world.

Element: Water

Favorite Actress of all time: Mae Whitman! I LOVE her to pieces and she is an inspiration to me. My dream is to meet her some day. My other three favorite actresses are Jodi Benson, Katie Leigh and Kellie Martin. I have been a fan of Jodi Benson since the Little Mermaid first came out. As for Katie Leigh, I have been a fan of her since My Little Pony as Fizzy and now in AIO as Connie Kendall. As for Kellie Martin I’ve liked her since her debut in Aladdin as Sadira. But Mae Whitman will always be my number one favorite actress and the one who gives me my inspiration.

I’m a nice person who loves making new friends who share the same interests as me. I also LOVE learning new things and teaching people new things as well. I LOVE helping people and I will go to any lengths to do so. I believe in being honest right off the bat and trying to talk things out rather than arguing. But I can debate if necessary.

I’m a Christian and I trust God with all my heart. I know He is real and I know He loves me. I’ve seen Him work miracles in my life and I know how powerful prayer can be. I’ve seen it change my life as well as lives around me for the better. I know God is always there for me and He will never leave me. He has a plan for me as well as the rest of us. I may not know what that is yet, but that’s okay. I will in God’s time. I know He loves me and that’s enough for me.

Along with being honest, I want to let everyone know who reads this profile that I am visually impaired. I can only see out of my left eye and not very well. This is due to a condition called Retina opathy of Prematurity. This means I was born early and therefore, the oxygen used to keep me alive destroyed my retinas in both eyes. It damaged the right one more than the left. The way I look at it is, I have ROP, it doesn’t have me. I’m no different from anyone else. I LOVE to have fun. I go to the movies, out to eat, volunteer at a daycare center and do other normal things. I just do some of those things differently.

Sayings I live by:

When you don’t know where else to turn, turn to God. His love will lead you back home again.

“Those who see with their heart will never lose their way. But those who rely on eye sight alone will always be lost.”

A beautiful heart is one that has pieces missing.

Sometimes we only see how people are different from us. But if you look hard enough, you can see how much we’re all alike.” Princess Jasmine.

“There’s good in all people and things.” Ariel

Favorite Colors: Light blue, ocean blue, pink and purple.

Favorite Books: A Series of Unfortunate Events, Anne of Green Gables (The Mae Whitman version), The Last Chance Detectives: The Day Ambrosia Stood Still, Adventures in Odyssey, The Haunted Woods, Face on the Milk Carton Series, Dicey’s Song and Christy.

I LOVE getting reviews and good, constructive criticism is always welcomed, along with suggestions for new stories.

Who? God
What? He loves you
Where? Everywhere

When? Always, forever, without ceasing.

How? Unconditionally, totally and completely
Why? Because you are His child!

“God is here and He loves us. In spite of all the mistakes. And He has a plan for us all.” Gloria

Have fun reading!

Mesai an and Aloha!

Laulena
