I'm an eighteen-year-old Junior College student in Singapore, currently preparing for the A levels, soon-to-be graduate, and future soldier. My interests lie primarily in politics and philosophy, with multiple branches every which way. Where fiction is concerned, I'm writing a novel, and contemplating another, if I can find the time. Fictionpress is currently the place where I deposit my short story ideas and sharpen my skills, at least for the time being. Act of Man

Michael Chiang is a man gifted with the ability to See, Hear, and Touch the underlying realities of the Universe. It also means that he often has to confront the predators, beasts, and parasites that inhabit higher, lower, and parallel dimensions, often co-existing with the rest of the world. In one August night, he comes under an escalating series of organised attacks by these spirits, forcing him to make a choice: act, or not, to save a world that will and can never know what he knows. If he does act, he must be prepared to face the consequences of whatever he does. 'M' for strong language, intense violence (but no blood or gore), and religious references. This story has been completed, and will be updated in a weekly basis.
