The Story Behind the Stories

The series beginning with Time Stopped started in about 2009 because, well, about half of the current characters had been floating in my head for awhile. Like you, I read lots of online stories and read a lot of good ones. There was just one thing about them that bugged me. They were all the same, for the most part. The two heroines would meet, have some sort of instant chemistry, then either they'd hook up like immediately then have some situation or go through some circumstances and THEN hook up. I'm not knocking the stories themselves, because they are quality stories, but... that's not realistic. See, love is messy. It's two people who have emotions, families, lives, and, well, stuff that they're going through, yet they want to share it with another person. Humans aren't perfect; we're all very flawed, which is what I think makes us perfect, but I digress. Imperfection can't make perfection, not really, but that doesn't mean that we can't try. :) As such, I decided to try to create a world around my characters where it's evident that they're real people* trying to express the beautiful emotion that is love, but have real limitations.

IF you made it this far, thank you for reading. Thank you for any comment or message I receive from you. It's quite humbling and greatly appreciated.

Of course, I don't really feel like I have to say it, but I will. My characters aren't real physical people, but they're real in a sense that I've tried to make them as realistic as possible.
