Author has written 4 stories for General, Nature, and Love. 12-25-05: Alright. Working on story now, even though I've hit a few bumps. I'm putting a lot of effort to make it original, since it's a highly-used plot (genetic experimenting set in a post-apocalyptic future)--which can be a very difficult thing to do, especially if you've read many like it. For example, big fantasy fans always want to go with the cliche, tall, beautiful elf from Tolkein's books, probably because they like the idea or the "It's not fantasy without elves" thing. So anyway, back on track, I'm trying to link ideas together, keep interest, make dimensional characters, make it original and edit, edit, edit. Phew. Happy holidays! PenName: Sorry for any and all inconveniences...It will stay as Nightmare Alley from here on out. About me: My name's Kelsey, and I'm a fifteen year old girl who loves all of the arts, (reading, writing, singing, drawing, etc). I also love to travel, play sports, and daydream. I'm a very reculsive, tired, and boring person--but I would love to be an archeologist/biologist and I dream of being a successful author to several fantasy/horror novels. I can be a smart-ass to the point of annoyance, sometimes, and while I like to think I'm fairly intelligent, I seem to lack common sense. Furthermore, I'm clumsy, awkward and socially inept, but I'm also very adventurous and I have a pretty good sense of humor. I love to read J. K. Rowling (Harry Potter), Christopher Paolini (Eragon), Twilight (Stephenie Meyer), and Anne Rice (Interview with a Vampire), but my personal library is full of many other great authors as well. I can hardly stand parting with any of my books. Movie-wise, I happen to love musicals (like Chicago), good horror flicks (Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later), and action/super-hero movies (Spiderman, X-men). I also like to listen to rock, classic rockand alternative music. The Beatles, Avenged Sevenfold, Anna Nalick, Muse, Jason Mraz, Foo Fighters, and AC/DC, mostly. What's a profile without quotes? "It really is like going to bed after a very, very long day. After all, to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure." -J.K. Rowling "When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us." -Alexander Graham Bell "In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move." -Douglas Adams "Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you walk into an open sewer and die." -Mel Brook |
