![]() Author has written 12 stories for Romance, Sci-Fi, and Thriller. Hey there, my name's Barbara. I'm a 24 year old girl woman and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. I enjoy reading, writing, playing video games on my PC, I am currently addicted to Mass Effect in the worst way, and I have an amazing assortment of cats that live with me. I'll give better explanations of the plots now. Falling Apart: This is a complete story. Brendan and Lily broke up after a huge misunderstanding, and to forget about Brendan, Lily begins dating Wayne, a notorious jerk. They both enter the same gaming tournament at school and win, much to Lily's dismay. So now they'll be forced to work together to win the bigger competition they're being sent off to. Except, before they even get to the competition, Brendan begins to notice things that Lily's trying to hide. Just why is she so terrified to tell him? And more so, will he be able to save her? I Should Tell You: Complete. Eris and Johnathon were going out, he broke it off right after graduation because he was going off to the army for no less than five years and figured it'd be easier on her. Right after he leaves, Eris swears she'll never ever talk to him again and coincidently finds out she's pregnant with his child. Deciding he wouldn't care anyway, she keeps the child a secret and moves to a smaller town with her best friend. 6 years later, Johnathon's back with his own best friend in tow, looking for Eris. Eris tries to get him off her trail, but the moment he sees little 5 year old Chloe, the questions start coming and refuse to stop. What's Eris going to do now, as Johnathon is convinced he's going to take the role of Daddy? And she couldn't possibly have feelings for him, right? Abomination: Short story, complete. It's set sometime in the not too far future where WWIII is raging and humans are killing each other in ways we've never seen before. Determined to stop this violence and bring the whole world into a obsession with goodness, scientists take it upon themselves to create an angel using a woman's unborn child. What happens when you play God, even though you're trying to turn others to Him? Forbidden: In-progress. Kind of on break from. Leila Carson lives with an abusive stepfather (maybe alcoholic as well, haven't decided yet) and nobody else. Her mother passed away, leaving Leila in his sole custody. She's dealing with that as well as she can when Caldon, her new Senior year English teacher (not to mention attractive and young) begins to notice that something's up at home. He takes her away to his apartment and they try to come up with a plan that will leave Leila safe while not getting Caldon fired. Easy enough, right? Well, what if they start to develop feelings for each other? It sucks, I know. I'm sorry. Something More: Completed. Classic story I wrote to get out of my head. Best friends falling in love with each other. Isn't it cuuuuute? Congratulations: In-progress. Semi-strangers meet on a train for the second time. Where will they go with their new found adoration of each other? This one was inspired by a certain song by that name that I was obsessed with. My latest creation. Empty Beds and Bad Behaviors: In-Progress. This story was originally inspired by Face Down by RJA but it has since morphed and become something else. Two best friends wind up in bed together, she's in an abusive relationship, he's in a loveless one. When he decides he wants to move past friendship, he persues her as best he can. Only a few chapters long right now, but one I really wanna work on. Our Last Days: In-Progress. My project for NaNoWriMo 2010. I'll be working exclusively on this piece for all of November, hopefully, and will have 50k words posted by the end of it. I basically took my life where I am right now and twisted it into a thriller/suspense novel. All of the 'past' things happened (mostly), and none of the 'current' or 'future' things have (duh). Plot: A girl's old friend that she hasn't spoken to in years takes her own life and leaves many questions unanswered that no one seems to want to pursue. Jess takes it upon herself to find out what really caused it, and at that point has to figure out how she can keep it from happening again. 27 Minutes: My NaNoWriMo for 2013. Kayla falls hard for James after a rough breakup. Unfortunately he is completely unattainable, as he is 10 years older than her and married. Things start to go south in his marriage and he seeks solace in her arms. Sounds super fucking cliche, but it's basically about how people can be wonderful and terrible at the same time. |
