First off is my name. I guess you can call me Bri. I'm trying to get through my teenage years (13), which sometimes sucks but mostly I like. Umm...i write mostly poetry, short stories so far I have one, but later on you may see more. I think i'm pretty good at writing. I hope i'm good being that I want to attend Oxford University and major in English. That is, like, my life's dream!!! Umm...let's see what else. Fave Authors/Books: Gaston Leroux (The Phantom of the Opera), Phillip Pullman (author of His Dark Materials. BEST BOOKS EVER!!!) Garth Nix (author of Sabriel trilogy), Lemony Snicket (series of unfortunate events) Christopher Paolini (author of Eragon-soon to be a movie!!!) Recommended Book(s): Well, of course all the books by the authors above are recommended, thats why i put them up there, but one book that i've read that kind of stuck out at me was "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn. It's about human ecology and our place as humans, our destiny, and our lifestyle now. What were humans meant for and what are we doing and what should we be doing? This book is absolutely amazing and thought provoking. It just...blew me away and i cannot come up with any praise for it that would seem adequate, so i justHIGHLY recommend that you read it.And then, of course, comes the sequel "My Ishmael" which i have read, and i am telling you that if you read Ishmael, you must read this one! It will dry those tears from the first book right up! I shall say no more, lest i spoil it.
