Okay - let's get it in straight away - FictionPress can be blamed for most errors in terms of spacing and punctuation that inevitably appear on this page. Not saying I have perfect grammar (as anyone who has heard my German can testify) but I do try and proof read. Gripe over with:

Influences: Stephen King, Ian Rankin, Chris Ryan
Favourite songs (some of this stuff somehow has an influence on what i write - see below): The Ramones, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, The Clash, David Bowie, old soul stuff like Al Green and Marvin Gaye, and Metallica. The only modern stuff I like is My Chemical Romance, CSS, The Strokes, Patrick Wolf and Radiohead.

I only write as a hobby but it is a serious hobby. Graveyard Shift is priority at the moment, and i hope i can finish it within 2 or 3 weeks. The ending of it is still sorting itself out in my head, so there will probably be an update delay. There probably won't be any of For Life until then either, and I've got a new story on the way.

If anyone has heard of the Tragedy of Osiris in ancient Egyptian mythology, it will be my take on that. Any particular suggestions or Egyptians story versions that people think I should know, please email them to me!

If you read my stuff, please send feedback of some kind, i will of course return the favour!

Thanks.

"When you have eliminated what is impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." - Sherlock Holmes
"A generation that does not know it's own past has no present... and no future." - Robert Heinlein
"I use a pen, for the pen is mightier than the sword. But you must always keep a sword handy, for when the pen fails!" - James Nichols, discussing gun control with Michael Moore
"The saying, 'Getting there is half the fun' became obsolete with the advent of commercial airlines." - Henry Tillman
"Had a drink in a bar. Everyone sat and watched one of the local cats lick its' bollocks." - Karl Pilkington, discussing his holiday in Gran Canaria

The guys on my favourites list are:

Perfectionisty - currently writing one cracker of a thriller (my fave type of story) called Silent Scars.
M G Dempsey- good mate, good writer. Writes horror and (occasionally) comedy. Pay a visit.
DragonZZ - writer of the critically acclaimed Harry Pothead series, and my fave poem of the FP domain, It's all your Fault.
Methos912 - does brilliant short sketches of plays, really hilarious stuff.
Sharakinpaix- great writer of both prose and poetry -The Heart of Amaryllis in particular has some wonderful visuals.

News

Nov 2005 - For Life has been removed for further editing and beta testing - apologies.

13th Jan 2006 - The audio file of 'No Quarter' (in case you want to know what I'm basing The Path Where No One Goes on) can be found here- go to 'Listen to Samples'

1st May 2006 - We're A Happy Family! is inspired by the Ramones song of the same name. Go Ramones

29th November 2007 - Can't believe it's been 2 years since I took For Life down. Anyway, I'm now at university at a top-secret UK location called Leeds so I don't have that much time, which is basically an excuse for a prolonged period of writers' block. I'll try and get back into it over Christmas
