Update - 03/09/10: I'm in the slow process of finishing up my year in the ASL & Deaf Studies Program, and I've been so focused on Signing that I've not had time/inclination/inspiration to write anything new. Hopefully this will change soon...
Update -11/11/09: I've been crazy-busy at college- where I'm in an ASL & Deaf Studies Program, learning American Sign Language - hence the lack of new poetry/story uploads!>> Great News! My friend, Matt, finally has stuff uploaded on his fictionpress account! Here's the link to copy & paste: http://www.fictionpress.com/u/550847/ArchetypeforaPilgrim
Update-04/15/09: I have tried my hand at Twilight fanfiction -its posted over on fanfiction.net under the same user-name as this account. Have moved on in my university courses to 20thC children's lit...and am really enjoying the fantasy-esque novels they have on my reading list. As you can imagine the amount of reading for this class is huge, especially when coupled with my Horror & Terror: Variations on Gothic course. If you're interested in Gothic stories--I suggest you check out one called 'The Maiden Tree' by Catherine M. Valyente ..just Google it. It's a neat take on the Sleeping Beauty theory...It's become my new fave short story!!
Update -01/06/09: You may have noticed that some of my poems have been moved or taken down--and that's because after about five years of being on Fictionpress.com, I've Finally run out of space for my uploaded documents. I'm in the process of grouping my older stuff together in collections and posting those instead. I appreciate all those who have reviewed these individual works in the past!
Sweeny Todd: "It's man devouring man, my dear. And who are we to deny it in here?"
'Tarraingímid a bhfuil grá againn dó is a gcuireann eagla orainn' -which is Gaelic for -'We attract what we love & what we fear..'
'And with one hard look, I can tell that you've had enough of these useless sunsets...'-'Drive'-Funeral For A Friend
"A philosopher once asked, "Are we human because we gaze at the stars, or do we gaze at them because we are human?" Pointless, really...”Do the stars gaze back?" Now that's a question. "-Narrator, Stardust
