Author has written 2 stories for Young Adult.

I write. Some people draw when they get bored, but I write. I'm good, really good at it and it's the one thing I'm not going to be modest about. Writing to me is a form of therapy. I can escape my frustrations and crappy life in a story of someone else. A life that I'm in charge of.

There's a lot of things I do and love. A lot of art. Photography, dance, music, acting. But the only one that I would starve for is my writing. If it meant that one day I could influence someone with my words, I would starve and pinch and save. It's my passion, my life, and makes me who I am.

I don't write enough. I entered a novel contest last year and didn't win. It made me severely depressed--not because I thought I would win. I didn't. I was depressed because I'd hoped and dreamed and spent countless hours thinking about it. Since then, I've been dead on ideas.

There's a lot of things I'm good at. But there is only one thing that I am really good at, the one thing I don't have to work at really hard to be proud of the product. That thing is my writing. My stories, my papers, my novel contest entry.

I would love to be on Broadway. I would love to be in a band and become famous. I would love to star in a movie or a television show. I would love to become a famous photographer. I would love to be a huge director or producer. But, more than anything, I would love to write a book that becomes huge. I want to see my book on the top seller's list, see it in the hands of young and old alike, be in Oprah's Book Club, and reviewed in the New Yorker. I want to write something that changes lives and influences people to a degree that only reading can.

One day, I will. Just wait and see. I won't give up because of one loss and a few honorable mentions. It might take me years, or I may be next year's winner. But one day, some day, I'll be on Oprah talking about my book. And you'll see me on the back cover and go, "HOLY ISH."

Holy freaking ish.

My two stories here are ones I've written as entries for a novel contest. I did not win with the first one (Silent Scars) and, looking back, it was rightly so. My newest story, Pact, has just been entered, so we'll see. Other than these two stories, I don't really write that much other fiction. I usually star stories and then can't finish them. I write a lot of fanfiction, though. Actually, most of my fanfiction is my best writing, better than the stories here. On fanfic, my pen name is newportbeachbabe. Or go to: I also write editorials for Editorial Newport (), or at least I used to.

I would greatly appreciate it if you left me reviews. Please?
