Author has written 18 stories for Fantasy, and General. My bio… about me… whatever… Name: hm… I’ve learned this lesson all too well. My nickname is Ady. That’s all you get. Age: Let’s just say that I’m probably older than many here and I’ve only seen one other older than me. Gender: wouldn’t you like to know… Female… in case ‘Aithwayth’ didn’t give it away Status: Happily Married! Location: Another lesson learned the hard way. Favo Authors: V.C. Andrews, Cassie Edwards, Stephen King, J.K. Rowling, Karen Marie Moning… I don’t read much so this will have to do. Likes: Cats, purple and green, Whispering Wind by Moby… awesome song, Fairies, Fantasy stuff Dislikes: Hypocrites, liars, writers blocks, pricks… Favo Movies: Well, this list could go on forever, but just for the giggles… White Chicks, Meet the Fockers, Legend, Neverending Story (1 and 2), The Dark Crystal, Vanhelsing, Underworld, Constantine, Blade, Pitch Black/Chronicles of Riddick, The Last Unicorn, Garbage Pail Kids, AVP, Aliens… okay, I think that’s good enough… What started me off in writing was when I was in 6th grade and we were given an assignment to write and create a book. I had so much fun with it that I couldn't stop. Over the years my writing has gotten better (at least in my eyes.) I used to be able to write poetry... but that eventually stopped. For me, it would sometimes put boundaries on what I could and couldn't do. When I write... I'm right there as everything is getting played out with no boundaries... no limits. That's why if you read my stories, you will notice that they are all mainly fantasy genre... One Wish is one of my finer works. Happy Endings is something that I just started and totally out of my comfort zone… but I’m willing to try and expand my horizons. Hmmm... a little about me... I have three wild boys (felines to be exact), a job that gets me by, and a love for being creative or coming up with new ideas. My other fascination is computers which I hope to take some classes soon to help me with knowing the guts and the glory of them. Also, if you are willing to put your works up here, you need to be willing to take the criticism. Lemme tell ya, my first one was two pages long and some parts weren’t very nice… but you know what? I took it and went with it. I was ecstatic! And I will tell you right now, I’ve got a big peeve with repetition of words (if it’s not meant to be that way) and I will tell you if I see it. It’s not that I am trying to be mean; it’s just something that I see. And if you see it in my story, please tell me! I don’t ritually read over my updates before putting them on here. There have been a couple of things that I’ve heard over my life… “Write and rewrite until it says exactly what you want it to say.” & “Don’t edit your work until you are finished.” & “Don’t be afraid to write what people don’t want to see.” (Don’t remember who said them). Okay, so I don’t play completely faithful to not editing until I’m done, but I do go a few chappies before going back and revising. Yes, I know it makes more work in the long run, but there may be ideas that I have and don’t want to lose. The few poems below are some very old ones of mine from when I was back in school taking a creative writing class. Haven't written any since... I hope that you enjoy my works and please review them. I appreciate any and all criticism. Nothing can ever be fixed unless the flaws are pointed out. |
