shrug* I was looking for a summer hobby. I'm uncomfortable with friends reading my work but I think strangers will be different. Anyway, I write mostly short romance scenes. Sometimes I have other inspiration with poems and such. I vary. Anyway, love it, hate it, tell me what you think.

Quick Bio : If you've read my work you have probably guessed I'm a female high school student. I currently reside in Northern California and love it. I've written since I was very young, just little short stories and such. I hope to eventually write a full length novel and have it published. I also want to open my own bookshop/cafe on the coast eventually. Though my father wants me to carry on tradition and go to Duke and carry on the family business. *shudder* lol. I maybe intelligent but I have no wish to subject myself to hating my career in order to make money.

I come from a big and pretty diverse family. My father has been married three times so I have a number of step, half, and assorted in-laws along with my two elder sisters. I'm the youngest and therefore spoiled. The final sybling is leaving the nest at the end of the summer and I'm finally going to know what it is to be an only child.

I havefive very close friends that I often use to shape my characters' personalities.

I love to read though what I read is what my mother has dubbed "airport trash" mostly cheap thrillers and romances. To balance it out I'm a bit of a Shakespearean nut... though Romeo and Juliet was forever ruined for me after my Freshman year English class. Something about Mercutio's character being read in a monotone gave me the chills.

Most of my poetry was written last summer, most of the recently written work was thrown out along with my remaining homework from this year. Usually scribbled in margins during biology.

I'm a classic movie fanatic. Anything Hitchcock created or anything starring Grant, Hepburn (Audrey, not Katherine, I wasn't as much of a fan of her) Bogart, Gable, Bergman, Stewart, or Peck. I also enjoy some of the newer musicals, Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, etc.

Music. My taste is pretty diverse from Audioslave to Anna Nalick to OK Go. My favorites include the Goo Goo Dolls, The Clash, Josie and the Pussycats, Frank Sinatra, Cake, Coldplay, Greenday, Jet,Hot Hot Heat, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Killers, Zeppelin, Hendrix, MxPx, Offspring, some of Puddle of Mudd, The Ramones, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, the list just goes on...

I think I'm finally out of things to say unless I start regaling my favorite foods and embarassing childhood moments.

Love Noir
I was inspired by the mood of a noir film I finished, it's a very negative sort of outlook but I enjoyed writing it. It's definitely free form, I tend to defintely sway from traditional structure.
