Instead of fingers
I have pens
If I scrape my knee
I bleed blue ink

I speak truths
That sometimes no one
Wants to hear

To read and write is to
Get lost or escape
To pretend to be someone
You're not
For a small moment in time

I dream of working
With words
Forever
