Hello and welcome!

please check out...

New Moves & Frederick the Extraordinary

I am fifteen years old (and appropriately mature and immature by turns
so I apologize in advance), a sophomore in high school, and I write.
And mostly I love it.

I enjoy reading, baking, my cat, mondegreens, radio stations that regularly play Huey Lewis and the News, my friends, my family, English class, history, being in plays (currently A Midsummer Night's Dream, I'm Helena!), chocolate and flowers, and spending time with the people I love.

A few quotations...

He who cannot draw on three thousand years is living from hand to mouth. -Goethe.

I learned a long time ago, Reuven, that a blink of an eye in itself is nothing. But the eye that blinks, that is something. A span of life is nothing. But the man who lives that span, he is something. He can fill that tiny span with meaning, so its quality is immesurable though its quantity may be insignificant. -Mr. Malter, from The Chosen by Chaim Potok ( LURVE The Chosen)

Challenge yourself! -an important guy named Brad.

It hurts so bad, I'd kick a puppy to make it stop. -Uncle Lou

Words must be weighed and not counted. -a fortune cookie

Nothing takes the taste out of peanut butter quite like unrequited love. -Charlie Brown

Mm, peanut butter. -me

First this world, then the next, then the fireworks... -Grandpa Hank

...whatever that means. -Uncle Jay

You love this band, so give us moneh... lots of moneh!!! please? thank you? give us moneh... we really need it! we really do! we have no moneh! how bout you? -"Gimmehmoneh" by the Threatening Jesters ( LURVE my friend Will's band)

O! I am alive to-day! What a lovely surprise!

Your Grandparents at the Beach
The title is mostly unrelated to what's inside except for the whole love thing. It's a little selfcritical but it's okay.

Straight down pours the rainLeaking through my roof again

Sister Sacramento
An internal battle I had with that city. "Everything that’s wrong with you is all wrong with me too." Much less edited and stranger than usual.
Poetry: General - Rated: K - English - Angst - Chapters: 1 - Words: 297 - Published: 6/12/2006
Red Asphalt Blues
Written out of boredom in Driver’s Ed. Imagine some old person reclining on his or her porch on a sweaty summer day with a banjo in hand and you’ll just about have the rhythm. It's rather repetetive, but I'm terribly fond of it.
Poetry: School - Rated: T - English - Humor - Chapters: 1 - Words: 197 - Published: 3/7/2006
San Rafael or The Product
San Rafael is where I live. This is it. (Rating for a "your mom" reference. Not sure if that merits a K+ or not.)

The Universe Pops Like a Ziploc Bag reviews
"...and innocents sin, and sinners are forgiven, and everybody's living anyway..." I'm fifteen and it all feels crazy, but I think it's just the age.

New Moves
"...Newly bought shoes and an artificial flower...Onstage, in a haze of sheet music and too-long hair...“Dance with me?” says he...New moves indeed." Odd tense changes going on in this one. Not sure I like the way it starts very much, either...
Poetry: Love - Rated: K - English - Chapters: 1 - Words: 296 - Published: 11/12/2005
Death's Lullaby reviews
"...come now, ye sinners, ye saints and ye babes, Death takes you all, treats you one and the same..." the soft, calm song Death sings. The tune of that... "lavenders blue, dilly dilly, lavenders green." Tad Christmas-carol-y at the end, sorry.
Poetry: Life - Rated: K - English - Chapters: 1 - Words: 242 - Reviews: 1 - Published: 11/12/2005

The Adventures of Harriet and Mitt Mitt reviews
My literary debut: A couple of cute talking cats battle the evil that is loud and annoying human technology in this charming little tale. I wrote it in the fourth grade, so it’s not exactly a masterpiece, but I thought it was kind of sweet, so have at it.
