(May 30, 2009) About that back-up computer that I was retyping everything on.
I hate rootkits, and whoever develops malicious software needs to know that IF I ever get the location of the developer, I will find them and I will burn their hard drives.
On a brighter note, I've graduated from High School (congrats to other graduates out there.) so I can start writing in earnest. I'd expect some new chapters or at least a small short story sometime...eventually.
(February 20, 2009): So yeah, my computer with all my text documents...it sort of...kind of...
It freakin' crashed. Big time. There's a really bad rootkit somewhere on the interwebs, so lock your computers down with virus protection and firewalls. Regardless, all the work I did for the past six months is gone. So much for that, anyway, I'll be getting back to work right away, so expect new chapters soon.
Edit (August 31st, 2008): Finished totally looking over The Defenders.
I had to put on my rage face because of the errors (note to self: the comma is now an enemy of the state.), so it has come to my attention that the Defenders needs a straight up re-write. I'll be getting to work on this IMMEDIATELY so Dira may be a bit scant on updates.
The Defenders (First Edition) is complete, please read and review if you get the chance.
Pierce Alexander is, by my definition, a cool name. I like to use it as my pen name, and the name of the main character of The Defenders mainly because it seems to have a strong yet intelligent undertone to it, and leads one to believe that the person behind the keyboard is an intellectual, and not just some angst ridden teenager willing to pump out their anime influenced, overly sappy stories at the rate at which rabbits reproduce. I am a 17 year old lad living in the beautiful part of the southeastern United States. I'm Scotch-Irish, but only in geneology, I sound like the typical southerner, and would like to put the belief that all southerners are NASCAR loving, beer-abusing rednecks to rest. If I were to describe my hobbies in words, I would call myself an "Airsoft crazed, caffiene absorbing, video-gaming, joy-reader." My friend Hux and I usually hang out on the weekends and play various video games together, so that inhibits my ability to type up and post my new chapters to you readers (currently few in number, it'll change!), but more or less, I want to try to produce something that will leave you thinking, something that will entertain you while making you seriously consider the universal human condition, something that will make you identify with every character that you come across, no matter how unimportant. I'm Pierce Alexander, and I'm an author.
