Hey!

My name's Brittany and thank you - seriously, thanks - for visiting my profile. I'm absolute crap at writing about myself; I've always preferred to let bits and pieces of myself bleed into the words I write. Without publishing my journal (which will never happen), I'm really at a loss. Thus, this awkward mumbling will half to do.

I've been writing for as long as I can remember. Reading is my life blood and eventually I decided no book could tell my story for me. It couldn't heal me. It was long past time for me to write my own. These characters are my best friends, my family, the little parts of myself I run from - or deny all together. Their voices are in my head 24/7, just begging to say hello to you. Or if you're talking to a Malone they either want to hit on you (those pesky Malone brothers!) or yell at you (Alexa really does mean well! I promise).

When I'm not writing, I'm at University, majoring in English. I also listen to an almost embarrassing amount of music, avoid confrontation, and - to be as contradictory to my social awkwardness and reclusive nature as humanly possible - serve as President of the Young Democrats.

Please let me know what you think of my work. This is what I will do with my life someday (fingers-crossed) and I want to be the best writer I can be. Tear me apart. I won't hold it against you.
