Hey there, dear reader, you word-by-word feeder,
How good of you to come by my niche.
I hear that my reasoning needs a slight bit more seasoning
But that my prose makes a mighty fine quiche.

At the moment my style is taking a while
To pupate and become rather less muddy.
So until my conventions are worth public mention
At Concordia I shall continue to study.

Yes I live in a place where my questionable race
Is much less an issue than ever.
Yes Canada's great and there's little to hate
In fact I might just live here forever.

I've lived all these years with two eyes and two ears,
And ten fingers to write what they catch,
I get words down in tumbles and phrases in jumbles,
And just one feeble mind to mix and match.

I've written for leisure and I've written for pleasure
And sometimes I write when I'm down,
As assignments for classes and for beautiful lasses,
And to dispel a lingering frown.

Comments from you to improve this old stew
Will be appreciated up the whazoo.
James Russell Lowell (that corpsified soul)
Had something to say 'bout it too.

"Nature fits all her children with something to do,
He who would write and can't write, can surely review."

My Montreal Meanderings
In the last few months I've been exposed to the poetry of men who go by their first two initials followed by their last names: A.M. Klein and W.H. Auden, both of whom I've come to admire in no small amount. This poem is in some ways dedicated to them.
Poetry: Life - Rated: K+ - English - Hurt/Comfort - Chapters: 1 - Words: 302 - Published: 4/21/2009
Gallagher in Space
This is one from my latest Prose class, and was quite wellreceived to boot! My first actual scifi story. A private detective working on a space station is hired to find a fella named Roust. Aliens, punches, a little green man and the void of space ensue.
Fiction: Sci-Fi - Rated: M - English - Adventure/Sci-Fi - Chapters: 1 - Words: 10,190 - Published: 10/3/2007 - Complete
The Day the World Got Bigger
This is a submission for my Creative Nonfiction class. Yes, that's a bit of an oxymoron. This took place in my kindergarten years, when I was just learning about the world and depending on grownups.
Fiction: Essay - Rated: K+ - English - Chapters: 1 - Words: 1,186 - Published: 2/26/2007
Old Click Richards reviews
Another one from the old prose class! Each person in the class had to come up with a characteristic of one collectively-created guy, and then write a short piece about him. This one's mine.

Nightghast reviews
A recent story from my prose class here in Concordia U, set in my native Malaysia. I suppose I was attempting to depict a rather old-fashioned, traditional mindset... and got a little carried away. Have fun!

Mr NoOne reviews
I'd been playing with the idea for this poem for about a year before I finally settled on a version that I felt reasonably did the job. I'd tell you all about what it means... but that would spoil the fun, don't you think?

World Meets World reviews
The assignment here was to go somewhere public and listen to snippets of other people's conversations. Some people say the strangest things. A hundred hug-bucks to whomever can tell me what about this I didn't make up.

The Greyer Lives reviews
(Updated) Changed my mind. It's not so grim after all. Written at 4am on a late Toronto February, when there's a lot of grey dreariness going on. Currently Fictionpress is being VERY irritating and not letting me divide it into stanzas.

Ooh... a PG rated poem! Well, I might as well, just in case. I don't want the Rabbit of Death to pop up and rip my vestigial heart out. Don't worry kiddies, I don't say the big bad F word, although right now it would be nice to verbally inflict vengeance

Right. Here I am, in the early morning, uploading another story. (At long bloody last, too.) Anyway, a while ago I had this really insane idea for a story, and so, here it is. I don't think I need to explain what it's about, it's short enough. Read. Enjoy

I like very few of my own pieces, and to some extent this holds a somewhat special place. I'd really like to rewrite it at a later date, but here it is, the story of the freak. Social outcast, loser, manic-depressive, and spawned from my own foul mood.
