Summary: Virgil Academy is among the nation's most elite academies, only it cranks out assassins instead of scholars. Tess Tyler is sent on a mission to assassinate the governor's son, who's reported to have an IQ lower than room temperature. It should've been an easy murder-and-run, but complications arise when Tess realizes Cartier Lovaine is a lot smarter than he's given credit for. And when her attempts fail and fail again, she realizes she's become the prey instead of the predator. As it turns out, the governor's son may not be so innocent after all.

And then my mom and his dad decided to insert themselves into the picture by deciding to get married. To prevent this terror from descending on my already-not-so-peachy life, I came up with a brilliant plan that would be the solution to all my troubles. Date the hot, arrogant jackass named Julian Burke. But as all plans backfire, mine blasted me all the way to Timbuktu. Now my mom and his dad are even more adamant about getting married, I'm getting accused of being an incestuous freak, and on top of all things, my darling little sister wants to be the incestuous freak. Fan-freakin-tastic.
