![]() Author has written 12 stories for Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, General, Mythology, Romance, and General. Once again, 10 random tracks from my computer. - "They'll Never Get Me (Word With You)" -- Drop Dead, Gorgeous - "Your Name Here (Sunrise Highway)" -- Straylight Run - "Wake the White Queen" -- The Crüxshadows - "I'm Sorry" -- Voltaire - "Pour Yourself a Drink (Basement Demo)" -- The Academy Is... - "Sister Sleep" -- Rasputina - "Side Effect" -- The Czars - "Le Mal à Penser" -- Belle Epoque - "Little Trip to Heaven (On the Wings of Your Love)" -- Tom Waits - "Equally Damaged" -- Blonde Redhead Current Reading: "Sanctuary" by William Faulkner; "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova (pretty much on hold, though -- I got bored with it.) I'm a bad person. I haven't been here in forever. For this I apologize. Since I'm finishing up school, I hope I'll be able to post more. With a few of the stories on here, I've written more in them, but haven't gotten a chance to post the new stuff. Please forgive me. About the stories: "Vampire's Wake" -- Finished. Very cliche, but fun. "Anapura Daylight" -- Steampunk, baby! This one's current. A young girl moves from a farming planet to a city planet, to pursue her dream of becoming an underworld surgeon. Also featuring magic, androgynes, cabarets, aliens and other fun stuff. A lot of people really like this one. Due to Almost Romeo's persistence, it is now possible to befriend this story on MySpace here. "Dreamfreak" -- This is what I get for reading the first six Elric books, one right after the other. Finished. "Die Romantic" -- Based on the song of the same name by Aiden. Note that I do not advocate nihilism or suicide, but that I do think they make good plot devices. Finished. "This is Your Story, This is Your Ending" -- Remember those "Choose Your Own Adventure" books? How it was an awesome idea but they were all really crappy? This is a not crappy one. A lot of people have said they like this one, but I almost never update it. I'm not sure why. "Uncle Charlie" -- Finished. However, this is an earlier draft. Significant changes have been made. If you really like it that much and want to know what it looks like now, drop me a line over at my Myspace (my website) or my Xanga (linked on the Myspace). "The Lover" -- A Christmas present for the lovely Almost Romeo. Not for the faint-of-heart, my friends. She asked for a story about psychic vampires, and this tale of sickness, death and "lily tribe" relationships was born. Finished, an open to all. "Tristan" -- I know I can't do it justice. But I tried, over the Christmas holiday. This is my retelling of the story of Tristan and Isolde, narrated by Tristan as he dies. I hope, someday, to do a better job. "Real Romance" -- Another Tristan and Isolde-type story, but with a more... Bonnie and Clyde feeling. Contains language, sex, violence and, shall we say, modernist punctuation (dashes instead of quotation marks and long sentences with nary a comma in sight. Get used to it). "Dust and Cobwebs" -- Where I put poems when I write them. Most are gothic, angsty or lusty (or some combination thereof), and the collection is therefore rated Teen. "Rise" -- My mom keeps saying I should try writing something other than fantasy. So here's another attempt at that. I think it's pretty good, so far. I quite like the main character, to be perfectly honest. "Red and Black" -- Weird. Just weird. I write stories in colors. Enfin, a wee bit of shilling: I am proud to affiliate with the Yahoo! group Young Writers 101. They're very nice to me, and took me in when I was cold and had a runny nose. Okay, not really. But they're good people. And that's pretty much all, folks. Nothing to see here. Move along. |
