My name is Bobb Yates. Writing has been a hobby of mine since I was a little kid, and now as an adult (wait...adult? I'm 24 years old and I have a Spider-Man tattoo...) scratch that. And now, as a man-child, I still enjoy doing it when I have time. I studied English and Creative Writing at The Ohio State University before earning a degree in Human Resources Management. My literary hero is Stephen King, and as I've been reading his novels since I was old enough to comprehend them, my genre of choice is horror. Unfortunately, my job doesn't allow me much time for writing, and soon I'm beginning work on a new band (I've agreed to play drums for the band Vanity Assassin) and that will take up what little free time I have left, so I apologize ahead of time if my posts are few and far between. I'm also a very harsh critic of my own writing, so even when I HAVE the time to sit down and hash out a few words, I usually pick them apart until they end up deleted-- I still haven't mastered the mantra of "just keep writing". I love receiving feedback and reviews, but please, be respectful and keep it constructive-- there are no bad writers, but some of us need a little more help than others. Everything I write is my own material, usually coming from cool nightmares or random brain attacks. Any similarity to other work on here is purely coincidental, but if I find that my writing is extremely similar to something that was posted before it I WILL delete it. I'm here to share my writing and make friends, not enemies. Anyway, thank you for checking out my profile and I hope you enjoy my work. Let me know what you think.
