Author has written 11 stories for Young Adult, and Life.
First things first:
Real name's Carolyn- but everyone calls me Kai. (a really long story).
When people meet me for the first time, they might think I'm erratic and spacey, but normally they would be right. When it all boils down to it- I'm eccentrically eclectic. I'm a bit of a nerd- I love to read and listen to music- but my passion has always been writing. I spend 85 percent of my life daydreaming, the other 15 percent is for writing all about my daydreams.
The most annoying thing to me is ignorance and liars. If I could be rid of those to things, life would be great.
My fave bands at this current moment (because I'm so indecisive, I'm constantly changing) are the Mayday Parade and Anberlin. My fave TV shows right now is Dexter and the Tudors (I love Showtime shows). My fave books right now are Just Listen and The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen , although the Immortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare is running a close second. I like old movies and good 1990s B movies, so my fave movies are 10 Things I Hate About You and Lucky Number Slevin. My fave hot celebrity is Chris Evans!
I'm 21 and I'm studying Early Childhood Ed at the University of Georgia. The worst thing about me is my bad memory and my inability to carry on a decent conversation when I'm nervous. I'm looking forward to getting out of the town and live a little and hopefully I will figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life.
But really I have many different likes and dislikes, and my writing (I think) really reflects that. There are many issues that are writing worthy and sometimes I just grab an idea and run with it. Many of my stories are rush jobs- I'm in desperate need of a Beta reader, although I don't want to inconvenience anyone- therefore I haven't looked for one. Anyhoo, I like to write, if you're reading this I'm pretty sure you like to write too; so I think you'll enjoy my work!
So everyone reads, my first novel Hands Down and they fall head over heels in love with that story. I, for one, think it's crappy and deserves alot of work. SOOOOO- yes, I am doing a re-write. I do love the story concept, with the whole boy meets troubled girl, type racial issues thing. That is so up my alley, but I've made some major role reversals and new characterizations. Names will be changed and some new characters to enter the scene. So if you're a fan of Hand Down- the first one, then I think you'll love Hands Down: As Lovers Go.
If you have any suggestions, comments, concerns, and or emotional outburst- feel free to contact me. I'm open to anything!
Prologue and a few chapters are up and waiting for your reviews! Help me out here!

Reposted Ripples. It's one of my favorite short stories that I've ever written, and if you have a short attention span, this story is for you.

It's been a while since I've posted a new story, I just uploaded a really cool story called Fighting, based somewhat off some events that occured during my Freshmen year at school. It's one of my most honest stories ever. I would recommend it to anyone and it is currently taking up most of my creative focus right now.
Hands Down: As Lovers Go is still in progress, the main problem with the rewrite is that I feel the need to make it perfect. I got rid of an entire chapter because I wasn't happy with it. I've decided to take a step back from this project for a few months to clear my mind and start writing again. I have not given up on it, I'm just asking for a little patience from the readers. Meanwhile, I have other equally great stories posted, you could check those out while you wait for more Hands Down. :)
Thanks for being so understanding.

I have suffered a great loss, and I'm sure all of you writing people can relate. You know the hurt and emptiness you feel when you loose a piece of writing- like it's gone forever and you can never get it back? Recently I got a new lap top and was switch over files, but got lazy and didn't switch over everything and left some on my jumpdrive. Not only did a lose 2 new story idea I was working on for you guys but I lost Secrets Kept (tear, sniffle, sadness). I was almost completely finished with it and my jumpdrive died. It just decided it wasn't going to work anymore. Regrettable- I do not think I will be rewriting it, because what I had was perfect and it cannot be easily duplicated from memory. I lost nearly 60 pages. It hurts even to look at what I posted here on Fictionpress. I don't believe I had many fans of that so it shouldn't be too upsetting. Rest assured, I saved Hands Down- I had that one backed up, luckily. :) So, yeah. No more Secrets Kept, unless I can find some tech person who can fix my jumpdrive or atleast recover my files...

First off, Happy New Year. Secondly, this is an update for Fighting. It's complete! I finished it on the 8th and now I'm just taking it through the editing process (which is kinda moving slow, because school this semester is gonna kick my butt, but I'm trying). So I decided to cast the main characters as if it were a screen play to help better visualize my people!
1) Callie Hamilton: played by Katerina Graham
2) Titus Asher: played by Andrew Jenks
3) Bradley Clapton: played by Adam Gregory
4) Rebecca Mendez: played by Jessica Szohr
5) Simon Rosenthal: (and this one was hard because I couldn't find an actor that best fit the real life inspiration for this character and I thought it would be creepy if I asked him if I could put his pictures up here) played by Max Hodges
6) Veronica Chandler: played by Amanda seyfried
Hope this helps you see them better!

After a lot of anonymous bashing reviews recently, I have decided to take down anonymous reviews. I don't mine the criticism, but not when I don't have an opportunity to stand up for myself and let the person who is relentlessly tearing me down do so without rebuttal. I have more self preservation than that. Just another FYI- if you do not like my stuff, trust me, you do not have to keep reading. I am asking you polietly, to move on to something else. Do not torture yourself and me with continuing to read until your frustrated and angry. I am not a professional writer, nowhere near it, so please help yourself and find another outlet for you asinine bickering.
