Author has written 2 stories for Fantasy. (July 29, 2007) "Treat others the way you wish to be treated." Isn't that a bit selfish? Shouldn't we treat others the way THEY wish to be treated? (and if you've been paying attention, does that mean that we should treat others the way they treat us?) Life is something of which we are a part, not something from which we are apart. The secret of immortality: don't die. If you can't see the good things in life, then you're missing the point completely. It's better to know the question than the answer. If you know the answer, then you are asking the wrong question. If God (or Jesus) is the Answer, then what is the Question? People are easy to deceive: just tell them the truth and they make up their own lies. Getting ideas is easy, writing them down in a way such that you can understand them later is hard. Screw the weather, dress for the air conditioning. People would rather lie to themselves than believe they've been deceived. Sometimes, I think I'm way too drunk to be so sober. Fear is the difference between bravery and stupidity, for a brave person acts despite being afraid, while a stupid person acts without being afraid. Never try talking sense when everyone else is talking dollars. Other quotes which, although they are not mine, are nonetheless intriguing: "You've been telling me you were a genius since you were seventeen. In all the time I've known you, I still don't know what you mean." - - - Reeling in the Years ... Steely Dan "Two foolish generals make a long and bloody war" - - - What to do if I ever have magic powers ... FictionPress.com |
