About Me:

It's been four years since I last wrote, four years in the overtime mines of work, slaving away for someone else's benefit. The fact that I work at home doesn't balance it out when I live in my office and those I love are on the other side of a closed door. This year is a year of firsts and seconds and do-overs for me. I've started writing again. Bit by tiny bit, I'm pulling myself out of the dark, endless mines and rescuing my soul. I, we, deserve no less.

Left-handed woman living in a right-handed world. Desert Dweller. Wife. Godmother. We bike and camp and farm. My profile photo is my afternoon shadow on trailing white lantana. Cat's claw in the background.

We live in my backyard - napping in the hammock, sleeping in the tent, watching movies with the projector, food and libation on the patio, growing fruits and vegetables, etc... It's not everything we want it to be, but it's getting there.

Something I read/listened to today:

June 8, 2016. "My soul is yours to take. Every broken fragment, every stained inch--all yours."

June 11, 2016. He leans in. "Do you know what I'm about to do? I am a man before all else. I can't guarantee your safety." He brushes my lips.

August 12, 2016. "When I fall asleep, all the memories I want to forget come flooding back. Of all the people who've died. Of all the times I haven't."

January 12, 2017. "I'm on the wrong side of Heaven and the righteous side of Hell."

June 14, 2017. "I want to look you in the face and rip out something you love."
