About The Folk Extraction:

The Folk Extraction was originally a government experiement to more closely examine the meaning of folk music and help to staunch it's rapidly spreading disease of free thinking. However,the experiment went horribly wrong!(as all self respecting government experiments will) Soon The Folk Extraction developed a free thinking mind of it's own and began to write song lyrics. The lyrics now spiral out of control in an effort to tap into the extracted folk. Meanwhile the organization behind all organizations known as 'THEY' (The man, the guys behind it all, those not-so-folk,) continue to try to hunt down and kill that which they have extracted.

The Folk Extraction has extracted inspiration from bands and artists such as: Blitzentrapper, Trampled By Turtles, Mumford and Sons, Amanda Palmer, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash (And an array of talented artists from this world and beyond.)
