![]() Author has written 5 stories for Romance, and Fantasy. All works © 2010 Juneaux May 11.10: Editing my Blood series is going well. Dare I say I'm halfway there? April 18.10: The school year is almost over! I have a week left of classes. Funny how quickly times goes by. The weather is still beautiful and I've been writing on and off for the past couple of weeks. It's going to be a good summer. March 12.10: The weather is beautiful and sunny. It makes me want to write. ;) March 6.10: I don't understand how time passes so quickly...Again, my apologies for being so inactive. I am still writing, and editing, and editing some more. I will finish and repost my Blood stories, but it won't happen overnight - especially since I am overloaded with college right now. I'm close to finishing my third year in a four year program and it seems I'm having mini panic attacks every other week. Sometimes life seems to move too fast for me. Thank you everyone who continues to support my stories. I always get a huge smile on my face when I read reviews and PM's. Jan 26.10: What a start to a New Year! First of all let me apologize for my overlong hiatus - I didn't mean to, I swear! I've taken down my Blood stories because I've been in the process of editing them for a while and I didn't want to torture any more people with zero updates. At this point I would say that I'm free of writer's block but have another story that is just screaming for my attention. So most of my time is going towards that one instead of of my poor Blood series. However, I do plan on editing them both and reposting the complete story. I just don't know how long that's going to take. Nov 14.09: Wow, there is no excuse for me not updating this earlier and explaining what the heck is going on. Basically, I've thrown myself into my schoolwork and it's taken over my life (and I'm not complaining). I love what I do and in order to properly finish/edit my stories I'll need a lot of time that I don't have right now. I'm not sure when I'll come back to my writing, but I hope it will be soon. My friends call me Marie. In my first year of college my english prof announced that his class was the most dangerous we would ever take - because story making was a like a drug and it would always reel you back in for more. In that case, I am an addict. As it is, I am notoriously unreliable about finishing stories. So I've taken up the hobby of writing too-long one shots. Hence my account on . However, I have recently tried my hand at multiple chapter stories. They're hugely time consuming, aren't they? And exhausting! I prefer to have the majority of the chapters completed before I start posting because I fear writer's block and don't like to torture readers with incompleted stories. Lastly, I write all my stories in Garamond, so I always find it odd when I review them online and they've been switched to Verdana. I think fictionpress should get a typeface library going, but that's just my inner type nerd speaking. My Writing (In the Editing Room) Blood Ties Vampires were not to be trusted. That is, until Daphne met Greyson. Now she doesn’t know what to think, and nothing is going to wait for her to make up her mind. The sequel to Blood Bound, in which things get a bit more complicated and a few secrets are unearthed along the way. As of now, I'm about ninety percent complete the first draft with a lot of editing in order. (Complete/In the Editing Room) Blood Bound Daphne knew that vampires weren't to be trusted. Then how could she explain why this one was helping her? A story about things that go bump in the night - a romance, of course. Heavily influenced by Sunshine, I know. But hopefully you can look past that - not to mention I've become very attached to my characters as I wrote them, more so than in any of my other stories, so I've decided to write a sequel. Hopefully then I can leave them be! (Complete) Stars Her sudden desire for kinship overrode her more common sense that told her to avoid strangers at night in empty parks. She figured it wouldn’t matter in a few hours, anyway. The end of the world told through a teenage girl's eyes. I started this at least two years ago and finished it on a whim in about two hours. (Complete) The Gift "I haven't been expelled...I've been expulsed." The peculiar tale of a witch without magic and a boy with too much. My second foray into original fiction, and my first multi-chaper story. It's a bit of a mess, I admit. It was written in two days during the week leading up to the final #7. I'm somewhat fond of it, but it needs some heavy revision that I'm not quite ready to do yet. (Complete) Misappropriated "Jane, I wasn't going to tell you, but there's this guy who's been drawing you for the past half hour or so..." I really don't know where this came from, other than my experiences with strange boys who have drawn me during Math class. UPCOMING: Welinda "Intuition is a strange thing. It implies that I know things others don't." Blood Sucking Parasites Hopefully this will be my next jump into supernatural fiction. It was an idea that came to me quite randomly and just ended up growing and growing. Here is my working summary: "Their meeting was unremarkable in every sense of the word. There were no fireworks, no stolen glances from across the room, not even a moment where time seemed to stop. Instead, she was drunk and he was completely oblivious. However, what came after that was more than remarkable. It was a bit frightening." More Blood Ties! More one shots! |
