Author has written 2 stories for Young Adult.
Hiya, I'm Endless_Story! However, I am better known at fanfiction.net as Rikku-Hoshi, and am known to write fanficiton for the game Final Fantasy X(-2).
Fanfiction.net became an addiction to me back in 2003-2004, and I found myself writing a 53+ chapter fanfiction. After writing this said fanfiction, I realized that had it been an original story, I could have finished it and attempted to publish it as a full-written novel. (And a long one at that.)
You see, for fun, I sit around and come up with plots for movies, novels, and manga. It's what I do. Sometimes, I sit down and write down notes, or actually attempt to write the story. But, in the end, I always turned back to fanfiction, simply because with the use of fanfiction.net, I had the motivation I needed to continue writing.
After my long story and a few others, I decided it was time that I focused my energy and talents on original work. But, I was lacking motivation. So, I came here.
To be honest, I'm quite worried about having my original work on a site like this. What if it got stolen? That would be horrible. My largest fear is walking into a bookstore only to see MY novel lying there. I would seriously die. And then proceed to sue for all I could get. (Right, my mom works for attorneys. Just a warning. ;)
Anyway, I've decided to post a story that I am currently writing for fun, because I doubt I'll ever actually do anything with it. I'd just like to see how people react to my writing, and see what they think.
Also, because I'm a teenager, I write stories that are meant for teenagers. Also, because I'm very immature, I write in a rather immature way.
So then, ready for some basic information about me?
I am Japan-obsessed, but not in an otaku-anime-lover kind of way. (In fact, the only anime I watch is Nana...Although I do enjoy Final Fantasy games.) I visited Japan in June, and am planning on going again soon. I love everything about that country, but especially the J-Rock singer Gackt. I actually spend about 80 of my time on him, and the remaining 20 on writing. He's my soul inspiration, hands down.
Otherwise, as far as interests go, I do enjoy manga, especially Death Note and Nana, as well as a few random titles. (In fact, I derived my pen name from the song "Endless Story" by Yuna Ito from the Nana Live Action Movie. Usually though, you will not see much mention of Japan in my novels, although I do hope to write a geisha story, because I think the ones out today are full of crap.
Some of my favorite novels are "Kamikaze Girls" by Novala Takemoto, "The Silver Crown" by Robert C. O'Brien, "Geisha, A Life" by Mineko Iwasaki, and the Nancy Drew series by Carolyn Keene. You may find my styles to be similar to these, especially Novala Takemoto's genius story.
Ah, and when I said you will find little ties to Japan in my works, I may have lied. I am currently in the process of writing a series about the Lolita fashion. I forgot about those...
Interests outside of Japan and writing of mine can be summed up with wakeboarding, tennis, and drawing. I don't have much of a life, do I?
Anyway, I suppose this is enough for now, don't you?
