Meet Shadow:

Shadow is a girl stuck in the fast-paced and homework-loaded years of high school. Some might say she's too quiet, though the ones who know her would argue the opposite. She's been writing forever, or so it feels, but she wouldn't dream of stopping. It's her life. Shadow keeps a diary, doesn't know what she wants to be when she grows up, has a wall completely covered in maps, is taking two languages next year (Spanish and Chinese and is considering the addition of Russian) and she has to get away from here. In the case that she's forced to settle down, Shadow would live in a town called Edison (population 133)--she's only visited there once. When separated from a keyboard or a pad of paper, Shadow's usually hiking or sailing--doing all that outdoorsy stuff. Maybe she's with her friends--like Sharks Don't Sleep, Patriotic Zebra, and Piffs. Most likely, though, she'd be in her bedroom with her music (the Shins, the Kooks, even the radio if she's feeling brave) turned up a bit too loud, counting her collection of plastic dinosaurs or admiring her many stuffed moose (the only thing that can compete with her love of words is her love of moose). Maybe someday she'll switch back to her 'longer' profile, but probably not.

For now, everything is fine how it is.
