Discovering NYC (MOMENTARY HIATUS)

Why does the story deal with mixed race so much?
Well, there aren't many empowering multi-ethnic/multi-race stories out there and it can at times be a tough thing to deal with. The stories pull together the experiences that some multi-ethnic/racial people have to go through and this is there to give them something to understand. Not only does it deal with race either--it mostly also deals with sexuality, realization, and other things like friendship and love.

New York Ugly (Updated sparingly)

Okay, the protaganist of this story is a psychopath. A TOTAL psychopath. This story is written in first person. All that I can say is that it takes more than I'm willing to commit to in order to finish this story. I couldnt do Shane justice without getting into character...

Ethan and Lee learn just how much they have to be willing to save not each other, but themselves. For anyone, this would be a totally dysfunctional relationship. For them, it's life. Anyone who could control the weather or manipulate people's minds should know that they have to be ruthless, shouldn't they? Semi-truths, secrets, and lies run amok as two boys try to make it work.

Two boys discover that the future of communication might not always be so forthcoming in the way of good. Things heat up (literally) when their relationship surpasses the instant messages, the phone calls, the text messages, the letters, the stretch of continent that separates their two coasts. This is something that not even Heaven can control. Pre-dystopia, semi-supernatural, All-badass.

Memoirs of a Dark Cat Thief (ACTIVE)

Eivery is a cat-thief (not a cat-burglar, mind you) who lives in the lowest class of the city. He's exalted by all of the Dark People, but one day city control catches up with him and gives him a choice: work for them and live the High-Light Life, or continue the rest of his life and die in the ghettos of the Dark, most likely winding up in jail for his apparent compulsivity when it comes to stealing from the affluent.
A/N: I think what's cool about this (as the author) is the setting. It may not be terribly obvious, but Eivery lives in a city that is what we would consider lost in time. It's old London (cobblestone, anyone?) with modern New York ("sky-scratching" towers) in a fusion that mixes old and new technologies with the timeless concept of classism and people's seemingly innate ability to change themselves to conform (or unconform) to the ways of the world.
