"How can you call this nice? It's, like, thirty degrees."

"Ah, yes, but the sun is out, there is a song in my heart, and the disgusting city snow is finally starting to melt."

"What song?"

"Don't know. My heart is tonedeaf."

-"Makeshift Romeo"

Hi, my name's M.A., or Skysong, if you prefer. Mistress of madness and all that jazz. I'm fairly prolific on FFN (see below) and have been writing my own stories for much longer then I've been posting them. I am intensely critical of myself, but I think I've finally gotten over it enough to start posting actual stories here. For more info, check this out: http:///journal/14959607/#comments

Anyhoo... my fiction is usually humorous fantasy that focuses on character development. ...This is authorese for stories about things that explode for no real reason while people fall in love, topped off with snarky commentary. Yeah.

I believe in syntax and spelling. They're my homeboys. Please don't abuse them. They know where you sleep. I'm always happy to beta, though. My bitch on this site is Mrs. Robinson, but I am open to more requests.

I've started an original fiction 100. I think I've finished about... ten prompts? Maybe? All of the stories I have posted here are from it.

Links: My page on dA I'd like to think I'm halfway decent. It also has a few pieces of fanfiction and some original stuff (my personal favorite is "The Inbetweeners", but that's not going up here until I get it rewritten).

My FFN account. Just in case you're -really- lazy. My fandom used to be X-men, but I'm on an Avatar kick right now and just can't quit.

My Xanga. I update sporadically, usually with self-deprecating rants. This is where I allow myself to be emo. I don't hold with it otherwise (I already wear thick-rimmed glasses and occasionally write poetry; I'm too far in the hole already).
