Author has written 6 stories for Love, and Romance.

December 2013: Who wants to design a book cover for Better Late Than Never? I have some ideas, but no money (or skills) to implement them. It'll have to be at least 1400 pixels wide and taller than it is wide (like a book cover, lol) so, if anyone out there wants to help a sister out (or knows someone who'd be interested in helping me for nothing more than the glory of having their work credited in an ebook), PM me, please.

Update November '13- Alright, it took me a little bit longer to post One More Second Chance than I thought it would...oops? I just posted the final chapters today, however, and now all my attention is on ongoing projects. Where She Belongs as well as an as-yet untitled Romantic Suspense story. Kinda. Actually, it's more of a Romance with a side of suspense thrown in. Hopefully one of them will be complete by the first of the year. I'm not making any promises though, only because when I feel too confident about something like that something happens to mess it up.

Update September '13- I'm a big, fat liar. Kidding. Sorta. My muse is an extremely fickle bitch, I swear. I'm posting a new story, titled One More Second Chance. It's finished, and I'll be posting it over the next couple weeks. It should be completely posted by the beginning of October. The story idea hijacked my brain during the beginning of August, after I heard Dustin Lynch's song Waiting, and from there, it basically wrote itself. Unfortunately for Where She Belongs that meant other projects were put temporarily on the back burner. I worked some on that during the last month(aside from that week-and-a-half when my inspiration--or maybe my motivation--to write fled entirely), but it was pretty much all One More Second Chance, all the time.

If you're interested, here's the playlist, in no particular order, of the 37 songs I exclusively listened to while writing the story:

01. Waiting- Dustin Lynch 19. Wild In Your Smile- Dustin Lynch
02. The One That Got Away- The Civil Wars 20. Tiptoe- Imagine Dragons
03. Control- Garbage 21. Dust to Dust- The Civil Wars
04. Crazy One More Time- Kip Moore 22. Sittin' Pretty- Dustin Lynch
05. Use Me Up- Wanderhouse 23. Stars- Grace Potter & the Nocturnals
06. Lights (Ellie Goulding Cover)- Wanderhouse 24. Radioactive- Imagine Dragons
07. Redneck Crazy- Tyler Farr 25. You Promised- Brantley Gilbert
08. Stay ft. Mikky Ekko- Rihanna 26. Falling- The Civil Wars
09. Rock You Sweet- Dustin Lynch 27. Cowboys and Angels- Dustin Lynch
10. Didn't I- James Wesley 28. Demons- Imagine Dragons
11. Point At You- Justin Moore 29. Stars- Grace Potter & the Nocturnals
12. It Goes Like This- Thomas Rhett 30. Cut- Plumb
13. How She Rolls- Chase Rice 31. Every Night- Imagine Dragons
14. Crazy Girl- The Eli Young Band 32. She Cranks My Tractor- Dustin Lynch
15. Sugar- Wanderhouse 33. Bleeding Out- Imagine Dragons
16. Understanding- Evanescence 34. Say Goodnight- The Eli Young Band
17. Understanding (Acoustic)- Evanescence 35. Nothing Left To Say- Imagine Dragons
18. Outta My Head- Craig Campbell 36. Night Train- Jason Aldean
37. Hey, Pretty Girl- Kip Moore (I didn't actually listen to this one while writing, but it's perfect for the story so I'm adding it anyway, lol)

Update January '13- You can basically disregard the first update from September, lol. Those stories are on hold because Where She Belongs has taken over my brain and problems I'd been having with it (the story idea being older than the other two) have worked themselves out in my mind. I'm posting just a preview of it until it's finished, mostly because I feel bad for taking so long to get my stuff together and wanted to do something as a thank you for all the support I've received. It really does mean the world to me.

I'm hoping it won't take too long for it to all come together. I'm working full-time now (after not working at all for what felt like forever) so that'll cut a little bit into my writing time. But lately the old muse has been visiting me with more frequency than she had been for a while after I finished BLTN. Hopefully she sticks around. I really don't want to be one of those authors who gets halfway through a story and then stops updating, which is why I'm only doing the prologue for now. I understand, though, if some of you don't read it until I'm regularly posting. Well, I think that's all I need to say for now...hope everybody has a blessed new year!

2nd Update September '12- So. Better Late Than Never won the Judge's Pick for Best Het and was Runner-Up in the Best Drama category for Round 12 of the Some Kind of Wonderful Awards! Yay! So Exciting. Thank you to everyone who voted for this story, it really means so much.

Update September '12- Taking some time now to do some revisions on Better Late Than Never just so you're all aware. I'm also working on a couple new stories, which will be ready... eventually. My muse is kinda bouncing back and forth between the two, and I have no idea which one will be done first. Or what they'll be called. Right now they're titled Gabi&Damien and Caleb&Sarina so there you go! Character names. It's what I use to refer to all my stories before I figure out what the heck the title's gonna be. Is it just me or is titling a story the hardest part? Anyway, back to work I go...

Hi. I'm just going to tell you a little about myself, nothing too earth shattering.

My name is Megan, and I'm 25. I have two older brothers, Matt and Mark. We all have the same initials, hence my pen name. My avatar is usually a picture of my beloved, and oh-so adorably nuts, Beagle/Boxer mix, Chloe. I live in Pinellas County, Florida, and that's where most of my stories will be set, at least roughly. I do take some(read: lots of) artistic license with my hometown.

I'm a huge fan of the Tampa Bay Rays, so, no offense to Boston and/or New York fans, but my characters will engage in the occasional Yankees/Red Sox bashing. Don't hold it against them.

I'm going to tell you right now, I SUCK at summaries. At least, I suck at 384-character ones.

I like music, and a lot of times when I'm trying to write, I end up spending most of my time singing along to whatever songs are playing. It's kind of annoying, but I find a lot of inspiration in music. Too much to sit and write without it.

I love quotes, and I'm well on my way to filling up a notebook with my favorites. I will, of course, share some with you--

"Listen to the Mustn't's, child. Listen to the Don't's. Listen to the Shouldn't's, the Impossible's, the Won't's. Listen to the Never Haves, then Listen close to me. ANYthing can happen, child. ANYthing can be."
-
Shel Silverstein

"But groundless hope, like unconditional love, is the only kind worth having."
- John Perry Barlow

"This is the first test of a gentleman: his respect for those who can be of no possible value to him."
- William Lyon Phelps

"You [an aspiring writer] can get help from teachers, but you are going to have to learn a lot by yourself, sitting alone in a room."
- Dr. Suess

"America makes prodigious mistakes, America has colossal faults, but one thing cannot be denied: America is always on the move. She may be going to Hell, of course, but at least she isn't standing still."
- E.E. Cummings

"Love never reasons but profusely gives; gives, like a thoughtless prodigal, its all, and trembles lest it has done too little."
- Hannah More

"I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely, miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing."
- Agatha Christie

"A wise girl kisses but doesn't love, listens but doesn't believe, and leaves before she is left."
"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."

- both from Marilyn Monroe

and the last one, for now:

"Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."
- Groucho Marx

Completed Stories:

Last Minute Lullaby- Rocky called her older brother, from whom she had been estranged for the past couple years, to come home when their father had a heart attack and fell into a coma. When she couldn't get in touch with him she dialed the only person she could think of to help track her wayward brother down. Jesse was Rafe's best friend, though they were estranged now too, and, unable to find Rafe, he flied from California to Florida to be with Rocky while her father was in the hospital. Having known each other since they were teenagers, she didn't hesitate to offer to let him stay with her, just like he didn't hesitate to accept. It wasn't long before they were both noticing things about each other that they had never noticed before. Things kind of just blossom from there, much to her brother's anger and disappointment.
Rated: M for a reason!
Status: Complete.

Better Late Than Never- My take on the best friend's older brother story, mixed with a little friends with benefits. Nola lost her heart to her best friend’s older brother at Bridget's tenth birthday party, and in the twelve years since, she had never gotten it back. At ten, being in love with an older man had felt heady and wonderful. At sixteen, annoyance had set in as she realized he simply did not think of her that way. Now, at twenty-two, she feels hugely pathetic that she's never gotten over him. But what happens when it turns out he might want her, too? Sex, idiocy, lying, & crying ensue.
Judge's Pick for Best Het and Runner-Up for Best Drama in Round 12 (summer 2012) SKoW AWARDS!!
Rated: M for a reason!
Status: Complete.
Also, characters from Last Minute Lullaby make an appearance in Chapter 8 of this story, so if you haven't read that story, but plan on it, you might want to read it before we get to Chapter 8, because there are spoilers for the ending of LML.

One More Second Chance- After four years together, Noah thought he and Grace would grow old together. Until, one day, she packed up her things and left him. While Grace loved Noah with every ounce of her being, a girl could only take so much. Fed up with being taken for granted, she moved out. Can they find their way to back to each other, or is Noah out of second chances?
