Hi!

I'm Shirabara (real name will not be revealed) and I'm a first time writer here on the block! I'm very happy to be writing here on FictionPress and hope that my stories will be put in a comic book one day!

I'm really into anime, manga, and a good story. Drawing and art is an asset that I think will help me one day and I sing even though I'm not in choir.

I don't like things for the dumbest reasons sometimes and I'm scared of bees, or any other large flying insect that can kill me. I also have a fear of heights. For some reason when I'm scared, I laugh instead of scream... odd isn't it?

Writing stories is a hobby of mine. So is drawing and humming songs I like under my breath. I don't find myself attractive and I don't think anyone else will either.

Wow...there really isn't much about me here is there? Moving on...

When I write stories, I try my best to stick to a particular theme and sometimes hide little things inside that bring together a sort of meaning. As a story goes on, I like to reveal the symbolism gradually and develope the characters more. I rarely ever do anything that's not fantasy so I guess I'll have to gradually scoot away from that.

I use fantasy because it's a convenient element and it let's me work with the atmosphere better. I will write a story one day that will not be fantasy though, I can promise that.

Please read my stories and give me some reviews. (I don't care if you say that I can't write to save my life) Some creative criticism will be very much appreciated.

Happy New Year everyone!!!

I'm really happy that my story has gotten some good attention so far! Thank you for all of your kind words and even kinder advice!! I've been trying my best, but I regret to say that with finals coming up, I'm pretty much swamped. I know a lot of you out there have the same problem. I know your pain...

I will be doing some character introductions up soon when I've got more stories. There needs to be some background and a lot of thanks going out to the people who inspired those characters.

Also, if you are giving a review to an author, please don't hurt their feelings with a "OMG!! WHAT THE (BLLLEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPP) IS THIS??? IT SUCKS!!!!"

Uhhh yeah... please don't do that to the authors. They worked hard so don't be harsh.

I know that a lot of you folks don't do that and are really helpful when it comes down to friendly advice. I'm just asking everyone to not hurt anyone's feelings.

It's been a while hasn't it?

Hi again everyone! Third chapter of Silence is up and I just wanted to stop by and highlight the characters a little bit more. Thanks to everyone who has commented so far! You guys (and girls) ROCK!!

Alrighty then! Moving on!

Shizuka: She's mute. Yes. She's a bit too skinny for her own good, but I don't think she's anorexic. Her character is gentle, I suppose. She has no dialogue so it's hard to tell what her personality catagorizes into. It's only been three chapters, but I like working with her, even though it's hard sometimes.

Kaoru: His name seemed to pop into my head from out of no where. Personally, I think he's a very sweet guy. I don't want him too sweet though because he'll turn into a Marty/Gary-Stu. That's bad. He's a bit too kind and he'll probaly take anyone in, even if he ends up a murder victim in the middle of the night. Too trusting. He's poor and has to make a living on his own. How? I'll get to that eventually.

Michiko: This old lady just wants the best for Kaoru. I believe she thinks of herself as a foster-mother to Kaoru, and he in his turn respects her. She's old. Not sorta kinda old, but OLD. She's very bold. If a thief ever tried to rob her, he'll be sorry because she'll chase him out with a broom and several other defenses including chopstick holders, dishes, maybe even kitchen knives. I kinda modeled her off of a character from Ranma 1/2. Michiko is fun to work with because of her tough old timer attitude. It's fun to put into dialogue.

HELLO FELLOW FICTIONPRESSERS!!!!!

Wow! I have a new story up and my first story isn't even finished yet! Random ideas pop into my head!

One Way to Freedom is a PoTC inspired story. That and the fact that the third movie is coming out on Memorial Day this year. Keep an eye out fo the trailers and go see Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End when it comes out on May 25! Once i found that out I got reabsorbed into the swashbuckling awesomeness that is PoTC and started reeling ideas through my head. But it's gotten so complicated since I can barely desribe action and know bloody squat about pirates.

I like working with the main character for this story too. She's fun and has this bitchy attitude that makes her really easy to work with in an action environment. I won't reveal too much. NO SPOILERS FOR YOU!

It's going a lot smoother than Silence. I'm kinda stuck on what to put up next. One Way and Silence are probably polar opposites so I'm having a hard time with it.

Amour!! Love is in the air!

Third chapter of One Way is up and ready to go!

Silence is still at a freeze frame!

When will I stop yapping?? (Deviro points a pistol at my head) Okay okay! No more crazy!

It's Valentine's Day and couples are all over the place. Left Right and Center there's bound to be some kissing but I don't see any! Even if I do I don't care!!

Valentine's Day is sweet and all, but it strikes me as ridiculous. Why use only one special day to say "I love you." when you can say it to your loved one everyday and show them that too? I'm not trying to shoot down anybody who likes the holiday, but I'm just saying this from my point of view.

(blindfolds self and gets ready for rain of angry readers)

The characters are getting a bit tougher to work with, especially Captain Deviro. HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE COLD-HEARTED AND HOT!! When I tried to draw him, I sorta crapped up his face. Hottie is no hottie no more. Me is sad...

Just imagine him as the hottest guy you ever saw and everything will be okay. I can't promise that 100 percent, but I'm pretty sure that things will turn out all right. (gulp) I hope.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!

Lots of red envelopes today and a total of XXX dollars recieved! Ok, so I haven't counted yet, so? Tiring. That's all I can really say for today. Tiring. I finished a request piccy for a dear friend of mine today and I'm hoping to get it colored by...say Tuesday? Yeah that works.

Not too many comments on my stories. COME ON PEOPLE! I'M DESPERATE HERE!!! AT LEAST POST A COMMENT! I DON'T CARE HOW MEAN AND NASTY IT IS!!! POST SOMETHING!!!

Work on chapter 4 of both Silence and One Way is getting hard. I've got zilch for the former and I'm stuck on the latter. If there's someone kind out there whose reading this take these words into consideration and provide some inspiration.

I'm trying to develope the characters a bit more. Kuro especially. He's very random and popped out of thin air it seems. How many times in your life do you come across a real black cat who learned how to talk and is now speaking in a British accent? I'll answer that for you, ZILCH, NO, NADA, ZERO, X!! That's probably why Kuro's so fun to work with.

Wow. Random me. Did I just waste a space of my profile to ramble on about a talking cat? (long awkward silence) Uhhh...yeah I did didn't I?

Sorry dog-people...I'll have a talking dog sometime in the future...if I remember.

HEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

YAY!! Chapter 4 of One Way is up and I've still got no comments!! Took me forever to get things right too...sad.

I'm learning more about the life of a pirate. I have books open next to me as I'm updating my chapters. Silence is still at a standstill and I am very sorry to the readers who have been so faithful so far. I'll try my best to update as much as possible.

(long silence as shira thinks of what to say next)

Umm...anyone planning anything for the weekends? Heh heh heh heh? (slump) I give up. See you guys next time when I have something more interesting to say...

I'm really sorry for not updating for a while now. The threat of my mother taking away my computer out of sheer paranoia that I'm doing something "weird" is looming over my head. MY LAPTOP IS MY BABY!!!! NOOOOO!!!!

I can only type now under the cover of night. And now for bed.

Goodness, it's been a while hasn't it?

I've been suffering from writer's block lately and hope to siphon out the excess ideas in another project of mine. (Scroll down to the latest story so far.) Why is it that after every three or so chapters on a story that I run out of ideas? It's odd isn't it? It's also a very, very bad pattern of mine that happens at at almost constant rate. This is why, when my head is loaded with too much, I let it out.

Yes, I am still only sneaking on my computer at night. No, it hasn't been taken away yet.

If anyone has any story requests for me then please, do tell! I do drawings too, thought I really doubt that I'll be able to hand them to you personally. I'll see whether or not i can submit anything on my DeviantArt page.(I kinda doubt that too though.)

HELLO EVERYONE!!!

Shirabara here again and ready to do backflips produced by utter excitement! As many people know, today is the day that Pirates Of The Caribbean 3 comes out! My friend (and a fellow FictionPress writer) has already hopped off with another friend to go watch it! Hmmm...I wonder if she ever got trounced by those fangirls...

Well, Chapter 5 of ONE WAY is up and running! Chapter 6 will be coming soon! Thanks to those of you who have been tailing me just to read ONE WAY and thanks for all the comments and support! YOU PEOPLE ROCK!!! YYYYAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm hoping to get a new story up, but I've decided not to put up another story until I'm done with at least one story. Just one and I'll have another one up...unless I can't resist.

YAY!! I GOT TO SEE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 3!!!! I am so so happy!! That movie did me wonders and now I'm almost halfway through with chapter 6 of One Way! I think Jack's line when he first appeared is my favorite line now. Heh. Why is it that al most all three of the movies have to revolve around some sort of food for at least three scenes anyway? Geez guys, way to make the movies confusing.

My DeviantArt account is finally up and I have submitted a drawing so those of you who want to go and take a look at it please go and do so on to and check it out! It's only one drawing, but I really hope that it will attract some decent attention.

Wow...and I mean wow! it's been a month and i think everyone has pretty much deserted me or given up on me because i don't update. the truth is that i'm out of ideas and am somewhere in the process of trying to find new ones! so i'm really very sorry to those of you who have been so wonderful and reading the crap that a teenager spat out of nowhere. you guys are the best and yes i don't care that everything is all in lowercase!
