Coming back to Fictionpress after having pretty much forgotten it for about three years, I think my profile needs serious updating. The last time I was here, I was at sixth form doing my A-Levels.

I've now graduated from university with a degree in English Literature. As you can see, the dry point (or rather the ARID, PARCHED point) of my writing seems to have been while I was studying for my degree - writing endless essays did not inspire me to write for fun in spare time!

So, yes, my university days are behind me and I have RETURNED! ~dramatic music~

As if anyone cares. But anyway, please bear in mind that, if you read any of my old stuff, it is just that - old. Some of it I wish I'd never written, but I still very much like Jessie, "Scarred World" and "Tumour", and am not too ashamed of Yalga and the Dragon, Still Bravely Singing, and "Me, My Key and My Bloodstained Knee".

"Dragon Days", "Snakes Don't Like Cakes" and "The Unfortunate Frog" are new.

Want to know a little bit about me? Well, I'm a girl in my early twenties, living and working in south-west England. I love writing, painting, taking pictures of bugs (hence Mr Ladybird above), hiking, travelling, eating chocolate in all its forms...and I am ever so slightly ballistic :P

I am as obsessed with the Harry Potter books as ever. I still have my fanfiction account - which went as dry as this one - and I would be elated to get new readers! I have a couple of stories up there, both complete (North, a Sirius Black fic, I'd say is the better one), and two jokey poems, "The Ballad of Odo" and "Hoggy, Warty Hogwarts".
