Author has written 3 stories for Fantasy.
Real name, James.
Occupation? I'm the host at a historical Jewish deli in downtown Ottawa, having tried and failed and realized the futility of getting an English degree. I've wanted to be an author since I was eleven, when I read Eragon and went, "Yeah this is okay, but I bet I could do it too."
I have three stories on here, a novella I wrote to piss off an annoying high school English teacher, and two versions of something called Time's Apprentice. Do you like Neil Gaiman? I do, and if you do too, you'll like Time's Apprentice. The "Contemporary Myth" is the first draft of this novel, set in Budapest, Hungary (where I spent most, but not all, of my high school years). The other version of TA, sometimes called Overture, is the second draft, with the beginning being moved backwards about six months, eventually leading into the Budapest events. Massive spoilers abound if you start with the CM, but as it's the actual finished novel, you might prefer to read that first, then go for Overture and rather than feel the impact of the reveals, spend the text going "Oh Jesus, Jasmine, don't listen to her!"
My books contain language, because real people swear, and people drink and smoke and have sex in them too, because that's also what real people do. If that offends you, then I'd love to meet you, because it means you're the weird type of Mormon who survived the preceding chapters only to take issue with a couple of kamikazes and a romp in the hay with a Fae, and that means you're fascinating.
Any questions, PM me. I'm quite friendly, and love reviews and fan interactions and criticisms of all sorts. Did I say fan interactions? I meant "fan" interactions, because I'm not Fierce Deity and I don't deserve fans yet.
Favourite Authors and Their Books: Neil Gaiman/American Gods, Christopher Moore/Lamb (The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal), Tim Pratt/Blood Engines, David Foster Wallace/Infinite Jest, Salmun Rushdie/The Satanic Verses, Carlos Ruiz Zafon/The Shadow of the Wind, Fierce Deity/The Legend of Zelda: Eternal Ark and Twin Gear: The Ruiner of a Thousand Years (Fierce gets two because his stories have influenced me more than anything else.)
