Author has written 21 stories for Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Life, Humor, Fable, General, and General.

I'd like to be a sci-fi & fantasy writer who challenges perceptions of sexuality & gender and is remembered for her unique and endearing characters.

Right now, though, I'm working on motivating myself towards actually writing. Self-improvement is coming slowly along the way. I find it easy to let depression push my writing aside and convince me that I'll never be good enough to write a proper story. It's been very hard to get around that mindset, but right now I'm trying out a writing challenge that has me writing a little bit every day. It's working out OK, so far.

A bit about me: My favourite authors are Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaimain and Douglas Adams. I'm also a fan of Asimov, Lovecraft, and Conan-Doyle (or at least, the Sherlock Holmes stories).

I'm English, live with my partner and a pair of rats, have a boring job and probably spend too much time playing Pokemon and watching Star Trek. I like tea, tattoos, animals (including unpopular ones), stripey clothing, I'm vegetarian... I only tell you these things because you might recognise these various traits in my characters.

Only When I'm Drunk by Pyrest
Slightly funny, mostly true, and maybe a little bit deep as well. A study in feelings through three pints of cider.
