Author has written 7 stories for Historical, General, Life, Young Adult, Supernatural, and General. Hi and welcome!!! I'm Kelsey, 16 and I'm a senior this year. Writing is just one of those inner things for me, I wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep till I've written out whatever it was that I needed too. I write mostly short stories with the occasional free verse thrown in. I enjoy life, but often struggle with individual parts of it (usualy highschool :) I'm very determined and extremely stubborn, my personal motto is adopted from a book called Violet Eyes "if the door is locked go through the window." It's not so much that I'm rebellious, just that I know where I'm going and won't let others get in my way. My stories' are very influenced by historical books I've read and people I've met. My current "Pet Project" is 100 words. The idea was introduced to me in a creative writing class at school. The concept of writing an effective and meaningful story in exactly one hundred words greatly apeals to me. It's very challenging, the words may flow out but there are far too many ninety percent of the time. As a result it takes a lot of reading and re-reading to cut enough fluff that it's lengthy but leave enough in for it to be meaningful. When I compleate it there will be 100 short stories, essays, ect. All under 100 words. The project I've compleately halted is "Shattered Roses". I like the idea, I like the first chapter. After that it bothers me. When I wrote it I thought it was a god-given story, but going back now I realize how shallow a great deal of the conversation and writing really is. I've heard many times "you cannot write what you do not know". I think this will be a wonderful achievement and I hope to have it as a published book someday. As for now, I will not write another word or update until I have personaly compleated every item on Paige's list. There are 28 items on that list, some of them are out of reach right now. I'm hoping that this personal mission will bring a greater depth to the story but it will be extremely time consuming. I sincerely recomend that you don't start reading it if you are impatient person, it is also definently not my best so please don't judge me off that one work. Acting is my passion, I'm graduating from highschool a year early to pursue it. Someday I hope to be acting professionaly, but whether I am or not I'll always be acting. After all "a dream is the door to tomorrow". As always reviews and comments are highly appreciated :) |
