Author has written 1 story for Romance.

Hello there, world! Call me Francis. ;)

My reading tastes tend to lean towards stories from the fantasy and super hero genres, but really, I'll pretty much read anything that's prettily strung together.

So, I'll be the first to admit that I'm really not the best writer in the world... I was inspired to write my own story by the bucket load of online writers out there who I read and admire (note: admire = worship the ground they walk on in a totally un-creepy fashion), and after finishing Golem, I decided to give fiction press a shot.

All of my stories tend to take place in the same world, Lorien, though a friend and I are spinning ideas for a Super Hero Universe we'd like to create. This is no doubt terribly uncreative of me, so I apologize, but the world of Lorien is really where my passion for writing lies, and until that passion dies out/changes course, expect to see all--if not most--of my stories taking place there.

That being said, Lorien has a LOT of history... history that I can't really put into a story because it would no doubt turn into something long and epic that would never get finished. So instead I'm attempting to write Lorien Fairytales, short stories that summarize the world's history in a few pages rather than a few chapters. The first fairytale, Sigurd's Mighty Spear, is already complete, so expect to see it up sometime. =) I've also got a world map of Lorien, for anyone who's interested.

Well, I think that's it about me, but just a heads up to readers who have somehow managed to stumble upon my profile: I really don't like to write long chapters. Past experiences have taught me that when I try to pack too much into a story, I lose sight of what it was I wanted to write in the first place, and eventually give up/lose momentum/get bored/etc. Chapters from The Golem's House tend to be just over 3 pages, each written in size 9 Arial font. If that's not enough for you, regrettably, I'm probably not the slash writer you're looking for =( but rest assured, this means that the stories I upload to fictionpress will always have a conclusion. =)

Current Story: The Golem's House

Status: Complete

Summery: (m/m slash) A dispassionate young man, plagued by an accident in his childhood, spends his days hiding away from a village that largely pretends he does not exist. One day, while running an errand for his mother, he is dragged out of Valwick, beaten, and left forgotten in the Valkyrie Wood. There, he is found and hunted by a dark fae, a fallen god of the lost world. He escapes pursuit by the skin of his teeth but, beyond the brink of exhaustion, falls unconscious in the woods. He awakes to find himself in the home of a golem who, despite being an imitation of human life, appears to have no real human emotions. Can the two remind each other of what it means to live?
