PRELUDE
Hide me, Mist ..
Help me, Wind ..
Blow away leaves of the Maples of the park,
Who don't know freedom ..
Love me, Sun ..
Make go clouds of the city,
Who only bring poison ..
Sing to me, birds ..
Give me the feeling of being free again ..
Go away, Winter ..
Don't take my last breath,
I want to live ..

to sum it all up.. -

My name is Annie, although I commonly sign anything I do with
!a.s.p.
my initials.

I love and hate to write; to define myself would to be simply "Writer".
I also enjoy drawing, although I feel practice is always required in both areas.
Might be good - could always be better.

define my life.

I am extremely patriotic and a supremely proud American, despite the flaws my country may hold.
I believe in change and President Obama.
I do not support the War in Iraq, nor do I believe in racism, nazism, prejudices, labels, stereotypes, homophobic crap, or any of that useless negativity.
I'm not the cheeriest person you'll meet, I'm socially awkward, but I am happy with how things are turning out sometimes.

"Where Libery dwells, there is my country." - Benjamin Rush.

My heroes are Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington...
well, the Founding Fathers,
the men of the Revolution
and the men of today who gave such rights to me..

What more can you believe in?

"If you happen to be one of the fretful minority who can do creative work, never force an idea; you'll abort it if you do. Be patient and you'll give birth to it when the time is ripe. Learn to wait." -Robert A. Heinlein

"We seem to have enough youth. How about a fountain of smart?" -The Vent

"Of course it’s possible that there really ISN’T any shadow government. The whole thing could be a phony story that was fed to The Washington Post to mislead our enemies. As you recall, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld recently admitted that the Pentagon had set up an office-officially named "The Office of Disinformation"-that was supposed to put out false statements to the media, thus throwing our enemies off the track. For example, if we were getting ready to attack Iraq, officials of the Office of Disinformation would hold a press conference and state: "Well, we’re certainly not going to attack Iraq!" The news media would report this, and Iraq would relax. France, meanwhile, would surrender." -Dave Barry

It makes sense that it should feel just this way,
That you slowly fade, And yet still remain..
As if to say: Everything matters in such an.. Invisible way..
As if to say: It’s okay.

In this darkness, I can't see anything. But even though I might feel scared, I'll be fine...

I always knew looking back on the tears would make me laugh, but... I never knew looking back on the laughs would make me cry.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard-coated bastards with bastard fillings. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive, bubble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.." - Dr. Perry Cox

OH MY GOD. WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING?" The funniest quote ever from a Silent Hill 2 Parody ( here's the link. But be warned! It's Part 3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNTJn7AvAFA&mode=related&search )

"My fellow Americans, I am pleased to tell you I just signed legislation which outlaws Russia forever. The bombing begins in five minutes." -Ronald Reagan, testing a radio microphone, 1984

"I love to be alone. I never found the companion that was so companionable as solitude." -Henry David Thoreau

"We're all in this alone." -Lily Tomlin, on life

"Teachers who offer you the ultimate answers do not possess the ultimate answers, for if they did, they would know that the ultimate answers cannot be given, they can only be received." -Tom Robbins

"I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out." -Steven Wright

"I believe what really happens in history is this: the old man is always wrong; and the young people are always wrong about what is wrong with him. The practical form it takes is this: that, while the old man may stand by some stupid custom, the young man always attacks it with some theory that turns out to be equally stupid." -G.K. Chesterton

"To avoid criticism, do nothing, say nothing, be nothing." -Elbert Hubbard

All sorts of crazy things begin - But, even though I might resist.… You had to know…. I needed this.

Homophobia and You: They're people too! Stop the hate and spread the love!

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.
I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.
I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.
I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.
I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.
I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.
I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I did not have to always deal with society hating me.
I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.
I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.
I am the person who is afraid of telling his loving Christian parents he loves another male.
Re-post this if you believe homophobia is wrong. Please do your part to end it.
