Author has written 28 stories for Young Adult, Fantasy, Romance, Nature, and General. 04/28/24 -- Nearly a year later...I have also made my Prophecy of Nature series available to purchase (but I don't feel like these are in a "final" state yet, so I'm selling essentially the original stories from FictionPress in epub format). Check out my new website here: https:/// 06/04/23 -- Captain's Log. Yeah, it feels kind of like that. But in all seriousness, I did it. I finally did it. I self-published one of my books. It might not be my most popular, but it’s one of my oldest and near and dear to my heart. If you were at all a fan of my works, head over to Kindle and look me up under the name I’ll be using for my “PG-13” stories — Jennifer Porterfield. Between Light & Shadows is available now on Kindle (and in the next week or two in paperback). Also, the Prophecy series will be coming out one book at a time later this year (under Jennifer Leigh), so keep an eye out for those, as well! 10/31/21 - Wow. This brings back memories. I have not been on Fictionpress since...well, apparently February of 2011. I do still occasionally get messages from folks who found me here, however (not certain if via Fictionpress or an old blog I still have somewhere that I apparently need to locate and maybe update?) I just wanted to say that I appreciate everyone's support, both back in the day and over the years. I gave up writing for...a long time. Nearly ten years, it seems like. But I am trying to rekindle that spark by using this year's Nanowrimo to rewrite one of my favorite originals -- The Scepter of Light. If you're at all interested, please feel free to find / follow me! https:///participants/jporter0519 2/6/11 - I have posted the first part of my Between Light and Shadows rewrite to my blog. You can read it in its entirety by going to: http:///2011/02/06/between-light-and-shadows-help-me/. And if you couldn't tel from the URL...I NEED HELP! Please go to my blog and leave me some feedback on this rewrite. Thanks! 1/24/11 - It occurred to me that I have not updated this in a while. I probably need to update the first chapter of the stories, as well, but in case anyone thinks to check my profile, I now have a large number of my books posted to my blog (the entire Prophecy series, the entire Sun series, My Entity, and the first two books of the Light series). Please visit my blog (link is below) for a full listing. Thanks! 8/1 - I have two more books posted to my blog site, My Entity and The Prophecy of Nature: Bryune. You can follow the links below to get them. 7/17 - My first book, The Scepter of Light, is now posted. My website concept is going to take forever, so I'm just posting them off of my blog for now. The direct link to the post with the book is: http:///2010/07/17/strict-structure-the-scepter-of-light/. I'm going to try and post one book per week, and I will consider requests if some of you were in the middle of reading a book. 7/1 - I am now officially a blogger (http:///). As of right now, all I've done is post something; I'll probably try to make it prettier, etc. tonight. Website progress is coming along nicely. I finalized the design last week and have constructed quite a few pages (with approx. 25 books, I have a lot of pages to work on!) My goal is to have the site live in the next week or so. I will post the URL on here and on my blog whenever I'm done. Update Issue resolved. My books have been removed from The Imposter's profile on Scribd. I am still taking them down from fictionpress, however. I will endeavor to build my website (referenced below) very quickly so that those of you who were in the middle of a book can finish. I'm very sorry, but today was NOT a good day for me, and I don't want to go through that again! I was alerted by one of my readers (THANK YOU) that someone was publishing my stories on the website Scribd without my authorization. All books but the ones in question will be taken down today. The ones in question will be taken down as soon as this issue is resolved. I apologize to my loyal readers out there, but I simply cannot bring myself to continue posting these stories that I have worked so hard on and put so much of myself into when they can be so easily copied and reproduced. Should I find another, more secure means of sharing my works with you, I will be sure to do so. I had intended to build a website soon and perhaps post secured PDFs of my stories. If I do that, I will post the URL on fictionpress. Thanks to everyone who read my stories faithfully (and didn't copy them!) over the years. |
